Battlefield 6 Best PC Settings Optimization Guide
Improvements Battlefield 6 Needs ASAP

Battlefield 6 has had a widely successful launch. However, the game could definitely use these improvements to make it better.

Battlefield: RedSec is set to launch alongside Battlefield 6 Season 1, and fans around the world are eagerly waiting to jump in. The mode will be a free-to-play Battle Royale experience that features all of Battlefield 6’s content, this time on a massive map where players must fight it out until only one remains. However, Battlefield Studios has been fairly quiet about the mode and what might come after its launch. With that being said, here are some features the mode absolutely needs to include.

Second Life Mechanic

The Ability To Earn Back a Second Life After Elimination

One thing players will absolutely be looking for in any Battle Royale mode is the chance to get back into the fight after being eliminated. In games like Warzone and Fortnite, there are always those moments where players get caught in a bad spot or just end up unlucky with their loot, leading to an early death. That’s where a second-life mechanic could come in, ideally allowing players to earn a redeployment.

Battlefield: RedSec will almost certainly let teammates redeploy fallen squadmates, but solo players or those who get unlucky early on could really benefit from a second chance. Whether it’s a Gulag-style system inspired by Warzone, or simply a brief grace period where players can redeploy early in the match, such a feature could definitely take the edge off those early-game fights.

An Emphasis on Classes

Carry Over Battlefield 6 Classes & Make Them Important

For those who have not taken part in the Portal Labs playtests for Battlefield: RedSec, it might be a little hard to picture how classes will fit into the Battle Royale mode. According to reports, players will start each match with a Pistol, a Sledgehammer, and a Grenade. But what about the Gadgets tied to classes?

Many players may assume that these Gadgets will be found in the wild. However, it is also possible that the mode could carry over the class system from Battlefield 6, giving players access to their Gadgets either right away or once certain requirements are met during a match. This would put more focus on using each class to benefit the team, with Support focused on reviving and resupplying teammates, Engineers specializing in taking down vehicles, and Assault being better suited for frontline combat. This kind of system could help set the mode apart from other Battle Royales, most notably Call of Duty: Warzone.

Bunkers, Safes, Vehicle Keys, Supply Drops, & More

Mechanics That Offer High Loot For a Risk

The ability to drop in and find loot is definitely going to be a big part of Battlefield: RedSec, with players likely being able to move through the map and find weapons and gear on the ground, as well as supply crates and other caches that contain valuable loot. However, adding things like bunkers, safes, vehicle keys, and even supply drops could provide players with new ways to get high-tier loot at a risk.

Bunkers and safes could act as objectives that players need to work through to secure high-tier rewards, while supply drops could fall mid-game to encourage fights between players all trying to grab them first. Vehicle keys could be looted at random or earned through the same methods, giving players access to one of the many vehicles already in Battlefield 6. The goal here is to give players more options to secure top-tier gear while maintaining high tension through the risk of encountering other players.

Custom Loadouts

Allow Players To Get a Hold of Custom Loadouts In-Game

One of the biggest aspects of any Battle Royale is looting, with players dropping in and scavenging a variety of weapons and gear to better prepare for the late game. Of course, looting in most Battle Royals is completely reliant on RNG, meaning players can sometimes get lucky and find top-tier weapons, while other times they might end up with far less than desirable items.

With loadouts already present in Multiplayer, Battlefield 6’s Battle Royale mode could definitely benefit from letting players access their own custom loadouts, perfectly tailored to their playstyle. Doing so would eliminate some of the randomness of the classic Battle Royale formula. Whether it’s through earning or finding loadout drops, or by introducing a system that lets players customize the weapons they pick up, custom loadouts would be an excellent addition to the mode.

A Small-Scale Battle Royale Mode

A Smaller Mode Similar to Warzone's Resurgence or Fortnite's Reload

Currently, all details surrounding Battlefield: RedSec point to a traditional, large-scale map where players fight it out as the safe zone shrinks, forcing intense battles until the last man or team is standing. This definitely offers a great amount of content for players to dive into at launch, but what about post-launch content?

The answer could be a second, smaller Battle Royale experience featuring a reduced map size and player count, promoting a faster-paced style of gameplay compared to the traditional mode. Such a mode would be comparable to Warzone’s Resurgence mode or Fortnite’s Reload and Blitz modes, and could be a great pick for those looking for a more competitive and fast-paced experience in Battlefield 6’s Battle Royale.

A Solos Playlist

Battlefield: RedSec Will Reportedly Not Have Solos at Launch

One of the best things about Battle Royale games is the freedom they give players to either go in solo or team up with others, usually up to three squadmates, and fight it out until the last player or team is standing. While players will definitely be able to jump into Battlefield’s Battle Royale mode alone, reports suggest that the game will not feature a dedicated solos playlist at launch.

Battlefield has always leaned heavily into squad-based gameplay, with players often relying on their teammates to spawn into key areas in large-scale modes like Conquest. The game’s class system also promotes teamwork, as each class plays a crucial role in supporting the squad. However, since the Battle Royale mode focuses more on survival without traditional objectives, a solos playlist is definitely needed for players who prefer to go in alone without facing the disadvantage of fighting full squads.

Earnable Cosmetics & Rewards

Free Rewards Earned For Playing Battle Royale

Battlefield 6 is already getting a roster of new skins for Season 1 that can be earned through the premium Season 1 Battle Pass, as well as through the in-game store once it goes live. Players can also earn a variety of free rewards ahead of Season 1 by completing Assignments or progressing through Weapon and Vehicle Mastery, but adding earnable rewards in Battle Royale could serve as an excellent incentive for those still on the fence about jumping in.

These rewards could be unlocked through a system similar to Battlefield 6’s Assignments, taking the form of challenges exclusive to the Battle Royale mode. Whether it’s a long-term grind like the base game’s Camos or a series of short-term bootcamp-style challenges, having additional earnable rewards would definitely be a refreshing change of pace.
