Battlefield 6 has already accumulated nearly 500,000 wishlists on Steam in the weekend following the release of the game's reveal trailer on July 24. New data about the Battlefield 6 reveal shows that gamers seem to be really excited about the new Battlefield entry heading into the upcoming multiplayer reveal event.
The Battlefield 6 reveal trailer accrued more likes than Call of Duty: Black Ops 7's reveal trailer, which is an early sign of the Battlefield community's hype behind the long-anticipated game. The trailer itself gave fans a glimpse into the single-player campaign, which focuses on NATO's response to attacks across the globe by the rogue militarized force known as Pax Armata. Although multiplayer gameplay wasn't shown in the reveal trailer, recent Battlefield 6 leaks have shown that curious gamers can still expect the franchise's destructive elements to return in squad- and team-based gameplay. The excitement behind Battlefield 6 was not only made clear through the reactions and replies to the reveal trailer, but new data shows that the game is now on the radar of many Steam gamers as well.

The Battlefield 6 Steam store page drew in nearly 500,000 wishlists over the weekend of July 26 through July 27, according to new data reported by Alinea Analytics co-founder Rickard Linder on July 28. Roughly 60% of these wishlists for Battlefield 6 come from players who previously played Battlefield 2042 on Steam, showing that there's potential for high player retention coming off of the latest Battlefield game. Moreover, Battlefield 6 is one of the top-trending upcoming Steam games for week 30 of 2025, surpassing the likes of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, EA Sports FC 26, Fate Trigger, and Grounded 2.

The game's overall Steam wishlist count is expected to grow even higher during and after the Battlefield 6 multiplayer reveal event, which starts on July 31 at 11:30 a.m. PT / 2:30 p.m. ET on YouTube and EA's social media channels. A Battlefield 6 open beta also appears to be planned to give players the opportunity to test out some of the game's official playlists well before launch. It's unknown when exactly the open beta will start, however.
