The highly anticipated Season 1 update for Battlefield 6 has officially arrived, but not everybody is happy with some of the new paywalled features. Although Battlefield 6's first major seasonal update adds tons of new content, as well as the free-to-play Battle Royale mode, Battlefield REDSEC, certain features appear to be locked behind the new Pro Battle Pass, and fans are making sure that EA hears their complaints loud and clear.
Battlefield 6 is now just the latest live-service title to release a premium version of its already paid Battle Pass. Call of Duty fans will know it as the BlackCell Battle Pass, Fortnite players will know it as Fortnite Crew, and Battlefield 6 has now titled its version as Battlefield Pro. Unlike the standard Battle Pass, Pro can only be purchased with a real-money purchase of $24.99 USD. It not only grants access to all of the usual rewards found in the Battle Pass, but also includes some added rewards and benefits. Unfortunately, fans are making it clear that they believe locking some of these added benefits behind a paywall is disappointing and unfair.

Here are the system requirements for PC that players need to have in order to run the Battlefield 6 REDSEC battle royale mode, let's check them out.
Battlefield 6 Players "Disappointed" With New Pro Radio Station
The very first Battlefield 6 Pro Battle Pass was released alongside the game's Season 1 update earlier this week, and to the surprise of nobody, it appears to already be causing controversy. In a new post on Reddit, one user called attention to the new BF Pro Radio station, which, as the name implies, can only be accessed by purchasing the Pro Battle Pass. While this isn't a game-changing feature and is solely for listening to different music tracks in vehicles, fans appear outraged by it. The post currently has over 2,500 upvotes and plenty of comments about how paywalls "suck."
Sadly, this isn't the only feature that has been locked behind Battlefield 6's Pro Battle Pass. As Season 1 went live on October 28, fans quickly discovered that one of the many benefits of Battlefield Pro is the ability to host 100-player servers on the game's Portal mode. There are also exclusive in-game assignments, extra challenge rerolls, and much more included in the Pro version.
While Season 1 added plenty of new content for fans to check out, players have also been complaining heavily about the newest Battlefield 6 map, Blackwell Fields. The community is even going as far as to label it as the "worst map in Battlefield history," largely due to it being too small and open, as well as having some questionable glitches.
