A new Battlefield 6 leak has shown off some Portal gameplay, giving players a unique insight into the next iteration of the mode. Battlefield 6’s Portal is filled with potential, and this latest leak indicates it might just live up to the hype.
Battlefield 6’s multiplayer reveal indicated that the Portal game mode is going to be bigger and better than ever this time around. Previously, where players could tweak in-game variables, they will now be able to customize maps, making fully custom games now possible. It all looks fantastic, and there will no doubt be some incredible Portal maps and game modes emerging after Battlefield 6’s October 10 launch.

Battlefield 6 Portal Leak Reveals Only Up-Style Custom Map
A new Battlefield 6 leak posted to X by Battlefield Wire has shown off a nearly six-minute look at the upcoming Portal mode. In the footage, the player appears to be climbing a structure building using the Battlefield 6 Portal tools. The structure leads high into the sky, with the player taking care not to fall to their death. It’s almost reminiscent of something like Only Up, albeit in the Battlefield 6 engine.
Seeing creations like this already is just a small glimpse into the potential of Portal mode. Adding a custom map creator is a tried-and-tested way to lengthen a game’s lifespan long beyond its initial release. Halo’s Forge mode is arguably the most prominent example over the years, and that exact comparison was made by a few users in response to Battlefield Wire’s leak. If Portal can enjoy even half the success of Halo’s Forge, then Battlefield 6 fans are in for a treat.
It isn’t long now until Battlefield 6 launches on October 10, and throughout the final stretch, players are getting a much better idea of what to expect from the upcoming FPS. The recent open beta for the game has given Battlefield Studios some important last-minute feedback to mull over, while even more Battlefield 6 leaks slip out from the ongoing Battlefield Labs tests. There's always the possibility of even more leaks in the coming weeks, and while they're interesting to see, perhaps it could be better to leave some things to surprise for the game's release.
