Less than a day after its highly-anticipated release, Battlefield 6 is already experiencing issues with cheaters and hackers infiltrating the shooter's multiplayer lobbies. The long-awaited debut of the sixth numbered entry in the beloved shooter franchise has stood as one of the biggest titles of the year, with fans anxiously awaiting the game's launch. Battlefield 6's release has already seen the game amass some impressive numbers for its early player counts, with more than 740,000 players on Steam alone. Now, Battlefield 6 is already experiencing some early issues with cheaters.

Battlefield 6 already earned some early controversy with regards to its anti-cheat software, both through EA's "Javelin" software and its system requirements. "Javelin" earned some significant backlash from fans for its status as a "kernel-level" anti-cheat software, requiring extensive high-level permissions from the user's PC. EA also required players to enable the "Secure Boot" setting to play Battlefield 6's beta, asking fans to access their BIOS in order to allow the shooter to run. EA's strictest measures, however, have reportedly not been enough to prevent cheaters from making it into Battlefield 6.

Despite being less than 48 hours out from the release of Battlefield 6, fans have already begun to discover cheaters and hackers within the multiplayer shooter. Videos have surfaced of cheaters in Battlefield 6 utilizing aim-assist software to locate enemies on the battlefield, taking shots at enemies they should not have been able to clearly target. Battlefield 6 notably does not feature killcams like its major counterpart in Call of Duty, with cheaters being harder to detect at first glance as a result. EA has not yet made an official statement about Battlefield 6's newfound cheaters.

Battlefield 6 Is Already Having Cheater Problems

Though Battlefield 6 features extensive anti-cheat measures from EA, some have continued to slip through the cracks within the new shooter. During Battlefield 6's open beta, EA revealed it had blocked over 330,000 cheating attempts within the game, also receiving over 100,000 reports of cheaters during the first two days of the beta. EA's anti-cheat software has also been found to cause some unusual issues for some users, with fans even needing to uninstall Riot Games' Valorant due to conflicts between Javelin and the League of Legends developer's "Vanguard" system.

Battlefield 6's Manhattan Bridge Isn't Exactly 'Manhattan Bridge'

While EA deals with Battlefield 6's early cheater problem, the issues have shown no sign of slowing down its early momentum. Battlefield 6 debuted at the top of the sales charts on Steam, with the game seeing so much traction from fans that Battlefield 6 caused issues with EA's app and in-game queues for the multiplayer servers. EA has even expressed some lofty goals for Battlefield 6, with the developer hoping that the game will eventually reach a staggering 100 million players. Fans can hope that Battlefield 6's early cheaters are only a bump in the road for the shooter's rise.
