The launch of Battlefield 6 is now just two weeks away, and EA has pulled back the curtain on the game's single-player Campaign, revealing that there will only be 9 missions for players to complete. With fewer than 10 missions to experience, it's being reported that Battlefield 6's Campaign can be completed by players in approximately 4-6 hours, making it one of the shortest entries in the series alongside the likes of Battlefield 5, which some have completed in as little as 3 hours.
After a hugely successful open beta last month, hype for the next entry in the Battlefield series was at an all-time high. However, following the official gameplay reveal for Battlefield 6's Campaign earlier this week, fans are taking to social media to express their concerns. YouTubers who have had the chance to go hands-on with some of the single-player missions have described it as a forgettable experience, while also blasting it as "terribly designed." Fans have also stated that the gameplay shown online looks "rough," with some also blasting the shooter's graphics.

Battlefield 6 Will Only Have 9 Campaign Missions
If some questionable NPC behavior and poor graphic fidelity weren't already bad enough, fans will be disappointed to hear that the Battlefield 6 Campaign will only have 9 missions, spanning across 3 different continents, available to complete. The information was gathered by Twitter user BFBulletin and reported by Insider Gaming, which states that the game's 9 missions can be completed in approximately 4-6 hours. The Twitter user also notes that an active internet connection will be required to play the single-player Campaign. So far, the Battlefield 6 Campaign is drawing a largely negative response from the community. The good news, however, is that its Multiplayer appears to be quite the opposite. After Battlefield 2042 became one of the worst-reviewed games on Steam shortly after its release in 2021, many have been eager to see how EA and Battlefield Studios would come back bigger and better. A producer at DICE recently stated that they believe Battlefield 6 will be much more successful than Battlefield 2042, as the next entry in the series is "much more in tune" with the likes of Battlefield 3 and Battlefield 4, two of the most successful entries in the series.
It's clear that Battlefield 2042's lackluster launch made a huge impact at DICE, as the studio's General Manager and Vice President Rebecka Coutaz also recently went on record to say that she felt an "obligation" to make Battlefield 6 the best entry in the series after joining the team shortly after 2042's launch. As the recently open beta was the biggest in Battlefield history, even surpassing the all-time concurrent player count record of Call of Duty on Steam, there's a strong chance that Battlefield 6 could go down as an all-time great.
