While Battlefield 6 players have access to an assortment of multiplayer modes from the get-go, there are also several modes custom-built by the community. These custom experiences are made by EA's Battlefield Portal, and players will be able to access them in-game. However, there's a setting called Player Created Content that must be turned on before you can play these modes yourself. So, here's everything you need to know about the Player Created Content in BF6.
How to Fix Multiplayer Connection Errors in Battlefield 6
Players have been experiencing connection errors in Battlefield 6 when they try to start multiplayer modes, here are some fixes that they can try.
How to Enable Player Created Content Setting in Battlefield 6
Battlefield Portal was introduced for Battlefield 2042 as a way for players to design, code, and create custom multiplayer modes for players to enjoy. Now the same utility can be used for Battlefield 6 as well, which the game gives you the option to either create or enjoy customized multiplayer experiences solo or with your squad.
However, if you try to access player-created content immediately, there won't be a button to join or host such modes. You'll instead see a purchase button with a "requires player created content enabled" message. Here's how to enable Player Created Content in Battlefield 6.
- Go to the settings menu from the BF6 main menu.
- Head over to the "System" tab on the left.
- In the "System" menu, you'll be able to turn on the Player Created Content option.
The Player Created Content option may get disabled if you quit and launch Battlefield 6 (for some players). So, it's always best to verify if the option is enabled before you jump into playing custom modes.
How to Access Player Created Modes/Experiences in BF6
Once you've turned on the Player Created Content setting in Battlefield 6, simply head to the "Community" tab in the main menu and click on "Search Experiences." Here, you'll be able to browse through several player created modes, and even see the Portal tag on their thumbnails to identify which ones were built using the utility.
Now, you can either scroll down the near-endless custom modes made for Battlefield 6, or simply filter them out. There's an option to select specific tags on the left or filter modes that are built around certain modes or maps.
You can also find any particular Player Created Content codes in BF6 communities and use them to directly access specific modes. These custom modes are also great for farming XP in Battlefield 6, as you'll be able to see what type of XP each mode rewards, allowing you to level up specific weapons relatively quickly. Since the leveling up system in the game is pretty demanding, you can play some solo modes that grant XP with bots, activate boosters, and complete challenges.
