The Recon class provides crucial information about enemy positions in Battlefield 6. They're more than just snipers — they are the eyes of your team, and a good Recon player can make the difference between winning or losing a fight.

Before you play as the Recon class in Battlefield 6, you need to be aware of just how beneficial spotting is. Even if you're missing shots, you'll be able to provide a ton of good info for your team just by tagging enemies. With that being said, here are two loadouts for the Recon class designed for both lethality and utility.

Sniper

A sniper's job is to take out targets and provide intel for the team. You can absolutely go on a rampage with a sniper rifle if you're skilled enough, but if you want to sit back at the end of a map and pick off important targets from hundreds of meters away, then you likely won't get as many kills. To compensate for that, you'll want to use your Recon Drone.

The Recon Drone is an underrated gadget that lets a single player reveal the locations of every enemy on the opposite team by acting as a spy cam. Fly it high into the sky and away from the fighting, and spot as many enemies as you can. You can also use it to identify the locations of campers, engineers, and enemy snipers — once you get a bead on their location, get back to your rifle and take the shot.

The Sniper Decoy is here to distract enemy snipers. If the decoys get shot, the enemy will get spotted, giving you the opportunity to snipe them back. Make sure to space your decoys out, and try not to stay near one of them so you don't reveal yourself.

When looking for a sniping spot, always pick one with good concealment, such as near a bush, in between rocks, or inside rooms. Natural brightness from the world around you can also help mask your scope glint. Also, when sniping from far away, Battlefield 6 has a Range Finder attachment.

Field Spec

Spec Ops

This is the complete opposite of the sniper setup above. Instead of hanging back away from the enemies, you'll be infiltrating and harassing their backline. What makes the Recon class so good in close quarters is their ability to reveal enemies on the minimap at-will using the class-specific UAV Overwatch ability, which reveals every enemy within a 100-meter radius of the Recon player for an entire minute.

Even without a UAV overhead, you can spot your enemies in BF6 using your T-UGS and Proximity Detectors. With all of these tools, you can cause some serious mayhem behind enemy lines. The Spec Ops Field Spec will help conceal your location by reducing the time at which you're spotted, and it'll also detect nearby enemy gadgets too. When you attack an enemy objective or hard point, leave Claymores behind to stop potential reinforcements from flooding in.
