Roughly 15 minutes of Battlefield 6 battle royale gameplay has leaked between two users participating in the closed beta. There's now less than a month to go before EA's highly anticipated first-person shooter is out, and as anticipation for the title keeps climbing, leakers keep revealing more details about the game's new mode. Battlefield 6 fans won't need to wait long to experience the action firsthand, but there's still a lot to learn and get excited about from the recent stream of leaks.
After Battlefield 2042 didn't get the warmest reception among fans and critics, EA has sought to inject new life into the franchise with its latest entry. So far, it looks like devs have done a good job at that, with Battlefield 6' s open beta setting a new record for the series by drawing over 473,000 concurrent players on Steam. The addition of a new battle royale mode could help attract a wider audience, too, and now players excited to learn more can get a closer look at what to expect.
Battlefield 6 Leak Reveals Battle Royale Gameplay
A new Battlefield 6 leak reveals more information about the game's upcoming Battle Royale mode, showcasing some interesting details and a massive map.
Two New Leaks Reveal Battlefield 6 Battle Royale Gameplay
Two separate users uploaded leaked battle royale footage to Reddit, showcasing action from Battlefield 6's recent playtest of the mode. While the open beta has ended, the closed Battlefield Labs reopened on August 29, and participating playtesters have provided a steady stream of leaks since. The shorter of the two shows off the battle royale's opening cinematic, which features a squad of four jump out of a Chinook helicopter before parachuting onto the ground below. It seems like the whole squad follows one leader during the jump, which is similar to how Apex Legends' drop-in mechanic works, but with just one example to go off of, it's unclear if this is an automatic setting or a changeable feature.
The second leaked video is longer and shows players operating an RHIB boat, a tank, and another ground vehicle that appears to be a form of transport. EA recently confirmed that Battlefield 6's battle royale will make extensive use of vehicles, both in combat and as a way to get around the massive map, but the leaked footage offers a better look at how that will work. The battle royale's ring of fire that slowly closes in on players is also visible in the clip, and it looks as intimidating as EA made it out to be.
These videos are far from the first to leak out of Battlefield Labs after the open beta ended. Just one day after the closed playtest resumed, a leaker revealed 26 minutes of Battlefield 6 gameplay from the game's "Operation Firestorm" mode. More information, whether leaked or officially released, is almost certain to come out over the next month, too. The wait for everyone else to experience it for themselves is almost over, with Battlefield 6 set to release on October 10.
