Way past the simple aesthetic of BattleBit Remastered is a game that rewards players who can think on their feet. A single, well-oiled squad can turn the tide of battle by themselves, though reaching that sort of proficiency usually demands a lot of game knowledge and skill.

Everybody can have fun in BattleBit Remastered just by messing around with everything it has to offer, but getting good at the game requires a conscious effort. Here are a handful of tips to help players step up their game.

7 Movement vs. Positioning

Flanking enemies

Players can rely on either quick movement or clever positioning when fighting in BattleBit. Both playstyles are valid, and it's up to the player to decide which fits them more.

When playing as a nimble skirmisher, try equipping light armor with either the Medic or Assault class. The former has access to self-healing while the latter is generally faster when it comes to handling and reloading weapons. Meanwhile, positioning-oriented players should take advantage of the game's destructible environments so they can move to hit enemies from their blind spots.

6 Use C4, Sledgehammers, and Pickaxes

Destruction plays a big role in BattleBit Remastered, and players should always find ways to take advantage of that fact. C4, sledgehammers, and pickaxes let everyone shape the battlefield according to the needs of the situation, opening up different tactical opportunities based on what players are using.

Sledgehammers are for breaking down walls for entry while Pickaxes are reserved for creating small holes that players can shoot through. C4 can be used to topple buildings, destroy vehicles, blast through walls, and take out clumps of enemy infantry.

5 Know Each Role

Each class in the game has specific jobs where they excel at. Everyone can do almost every job to some degree of effectiveness, but certain roles are best left to the experts. Here's a cheat sheet of what each class should be doing in a match:

  • Assault: Flanking and demolitions
  • Medic: Frontline fighting, healing, and reviving
  • Engineer: Long-range demolitions, anti-armor, and vehicle support
  • Recon: Sniping and target spotting
  • Support: Resupplying, fortification building, and suppressing with machine gun fire

4 Build FOBs

Forward Operating Bases (FOBs) are great for securing a foothold near objectives that are too far away from normal spawn points. A typical FOB is usually made of a Rally Point fortified by barricades and sandbags. This allows a squad to spawn on or near enemy territory where they can wreak the most havoc.

FOBs are best built near the frontline where the sound of chaos easily masks the Rally Point's static noise. The barricades and sandbags will protect the Rally Point from stray rockets and gunshots while also concealing them from the enemy's sight. When making a spawn point deep inside enemy territory, it's better to place a Rally Point somewhere off the beaten path.

3 Master One Weapon at a Time

The variety in BattleBit's arsenal is staggering, and it may be tempting to try out every gun available. However, players who want to seriously improve their skills should stick with one weapon until they get really good with it. Every weapon can compete with every other gun in the game, but here are a few standouts that deserve to get mentioned:

  • Assault Rifle: AK-74
  • SMG: UMP45
  • Sniper Rifle: SV-98
  • LMG: M249
  • DMR: MK14 EBR
  • Carbine: AS VAL
  • PDW: Groza

Some of these weapons may not be considered meta, but they're great for even the most casual of players. Experiment with the arsenal and find one that feels best.

2 Armored Vehicles Fighting Tips

BattleBit Remastered support places C4 explosives on enemy tank

When driving a tank or an APC, try to stay close to friendly infantry. The vehicle will give them cover, and in turn, they'll protect the driver from possible C4 chargers and hostile engineers. The presence of an armored vehicle alone can make the enemy's frontline crumble, so work together with the team and push onward.

Also, always have an escape route in mind. If there are too many rocket launchers on the enemy's side, then it's best to fight from farther away or between buildings. Use cover and stay mobile to keep the enemy from destroying the vehicle.

1 Place Traps Around Corners

PlACING C4

The default Anti-Personnel Mine is much harder to spot than Claymores, but they are also less likely to get triggered unless players step directly on top of them. The best place to put these traps is by the corners of staircases and corridors where they are more likely to tag players that are rushing in.

This tip is especially helpful for snipers who are holed up inside a building. Try to place as many traps as possible before picking enemies off.
