Submachine guns dominate close-quarters combat in BattleBit Remastered. They boast blistering rates of fire that can shred almost every target up close in no time, but they suffer from steep damage penalties at range. Regardless, they are great for the majority of combat scenarios, rivaling even assault rifles in their most dominant space.

There are a lot of SMGs to unlock in BattleBit Remastered, but even the ones that players get early on can be very competitive in skilled play. Here are some recommended loadouts and attachment setups for three of the four starter SMGs in the game.

Mid-Range UMP45 Loadout

The UMP45 is a dominant weapon in both medium-range engagements and close quarters. One of the best things about it is its ease of use: this gun has almost no recoil, which means players can use no attachments and still find decent success with it. This also means that players can get away with using mid-range optics with this weapon.

  • Scope: Any mid-range scope with a backup red dot sight
  • Barrel: VAM B-762
  • Underbarrel: Stabil Grip
  • Magazine: Quick-A

Note that this is more for target acquisition than long-ranged shooting. Players should stick to the 50-70m mark when fighting enemies with the UMP45 since it suffers from damage fall-off more quickly since it's an SMG.

Medium armor is advised for this loadout since it caters to a tactical playstyle. When fighting in urban maps like Sandysunset, take C4 to create new entry points or angles to shoot enemies.

MP7 Attachments and Loadout

The MP7 in BattleBit Remastered

The MP7 is much more CQB-oriented than the UMP45, as made evident by its less-forgiving recoil and higher rate of fire. However, players can rein in this weapon's stability with attachments to make it more viable in longer ranges.

  • Scope: Any close-range optic
  • Barrel: DGN-308
  • Underbarrel: B-25 URK
  • Magazine: Quick-A

The setup above makes the MP7 easier to control without completely tanking its handling and accuracy. Disciplined bursts can effectively take down targets beyond 50m, but the weapon's low muzzle velocity means players will need to lead their shots a bit more.

Light armor with C4 is recommended for this setup as they allow players to close the gap between targets more quickly and create different angles of engagement.

PP19 Attachments and Loadout

Since the PP2000 has very little in terms of customization options, this guide will skip straight to the PP19, which is more or less a faster-firing UMP45. It easily strikes the middle ground between the UMP45 and the MP7, making it a great option for both tactical and speed-oriented players.

  • Scope: Any close-range optic
  • Barrel: Long Barrel
  • Underbarrel: Stabil Grip
  • Magazine: Quick-A

The PP19 has low base vertical recoil and fast handling by default, which means it can take advantage of the Long Barrel attachment's bonuses to accuracy and bullet velocity. These make this weapon slightly more reliable in medium ranges compared to the MP7 while still being more effective in close quarters than the UMP45.

Armor choice will be up to the player's preference this time around. Just remember that heavier armor lets players carry more ammo, and the PP19 can chew through rounds very quickly.

BattleBit Remastered is available now in early access for PC.
