A Skyrim player online has accidentally recreated the hilarious Batman: Arkham "man" meme with an unfortunate character creation. Although Skyrim does a great job of allowing players to create any character they want to be, in this case, it has had unfortunate results.
Skyrim is no stranger to memes being made from the game. There's Nazeem, the character many fans see as one big meme. Then, there's the "arrow to the knee" guard, a line that has been a near-constant meme ever since Skyrim's release in 2011. There was even one Skyrim player who turned the "arrow to the knee" meme into a tattoo, showcasing how prevalent it is in the community. There's no doubt about it - Skyrim is home to some of the most iconic gaming memes ever, but it's still surprising whenever a meme from another franchise makes its way into Bethesda's RPG.
8 Darkest Skyrim Characters, Ranked
The snowy lands of Skyrim have created some truly cruel characters that fester and feed off of darkness, creating some truly memorable characters.
Redditor Eastern-Animal-3276 shared an image of their latest Skyrim character, who is wearing the Nightingale Armor and the Executioner's Hood. Together, both of these items look like Batman without the bat on his chest or the pointy ears on his cowl. It's these two characteristics that define the "Man" meme in the Batman community. Without anything bat-related, he simply becomes "Man." That's exactly who this Skyrim character resembles, and gamers in the thread were quick to crack jokes about the situation. Eastern-Animal-3276 saw the funny side of the situation, leaning into the jokes in their responses.
Skyrim Player Recreates Batman: Arkham's 'Man' Meme in the Game
One even suggested that Eastern-Animal-3276 names their character Wuce Brayne, while The Dark Knightingale was another strong contender. Jokes aside, one gamer had a fantastic suggestion, pointing out that they should call their character Kevin, after iconic Batman: The Animated Series voice actor Kevin Conroy, who passed away almost two years ago. This would be a fantastic tribute to the legendary performer.
Although gamers are still creating funny Skyrim characters, hopefully it won't be too much longer before players are able to do it in The Elder Scrolls 6, too. The game was first announced in 2018, but Bethesda has been very quiet about the long-awaited project for years. Soon, the wait for The Elder Scrolls 6 will extend beyond 13 years, which is crazy to imagine. So little is known about the game in an official capacity, not even the setting. Earlier this year, a Bethesda dev accidentally hinted at The Elder Scrolls 6's setting via a Pinterest board, although this doesn't cement anything for certain. With Starfield and its first expansion now released, hopefully, it's "all systems go" at the studio on the Elder Scrolls sequel now.
