Once players reach the Cemetery during the Landfall Quest, Antea will notice a wisp and follow it inside in Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden. As it turns out, there is a possibility to perform the Harkening Ritual, which will help Banishers witness memories and past events.
While completing the Landfall Quest, the Harkening Ritual will require two crucial resources, which are Pyrite and Seashore Candles. Luckily for players, both ingredients can be found in the Cemetery in decent quantities. After collecting the necessary items, perform the Ritual to find out what happened to Charles.
Banishers: Ghosts Of New Eden - Difficulty Differences
Banishers: Ghosts Of New Eden has five difficulties. But which one should you pick?
Pyrite Locations In Banishers: Ghosts Of New Eden
Pyrite is a type of ore mostly found embedded into walls around the Dark Woods Region, and each ore yields two Pyrites. To collect some of this material in Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, follow the wisp in the Cemetery then head west to destroy a wooden obstacle. Pyrite can be immediately seen once the obstacle is removed.
Two Pyrite ores can be collected along the slope and after that, you will arrive at the top of a small hill. A small fight will trigger, but Antea can take care of all the enemies with a simple hit of her weapon, so don’t worry. Collect three Pyrite ores from the hill, then jump down to collect one more.
Seashore Candles Locations In Banishers: Ghosts Of New Eden
As the name implies, Seashore Candles are a type of plant typically found growing near water sources, especially in The Harrows Region. If Banishers wish to collect some of the Seashore Candles, run northeast and proceed forward past Charles's grave. Jump down the small hill and head southeast toward the slope to find a total of three Seashore Candles plants. Be careful, as on the way back, some enemies will attack Antea.
Next, you can run back to the wisp and perform the Harkening Ritual to witness Charles’ death at the hands of a powerful ghost. Although players have collected more materials than necessary, the extra resources will come in handy for future Rituals performed later on in Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden.
What Is The Harkening Ritual In Banishers: Ghosts Of New Eden?
The Harkening is described as a Ritual to help reveal an Echo. By drawing or carving the Leo Constellation and sprinkling the correct resources, Banishers may summon a memory of the past and witness it to gather some clues or uncover dark secrets in Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden.
An Echo is a persistent memory left by a lingering ghost before its ultimate death. In Charles’s case, he has left the memory of his death after facing the dangerous ghost and dropping his bible on the ground. Thanks to the Echo, Antea will follow her friend’s trail and pick up the bible to perform another Ritual that helps her Banish or Ascend Charles’s ghost.
