Some look to create the most overpowered party possible, blasting their way through everything the game has to offer. Others make their favorite characters from other franchises, like the Baldur's Gate 3 player who recreated It's Always Sunny characters in the game. Seemingly every character has undergone an overhaul, with itsyabui1999 trying to match up the Baldur's Gate 3 companions with their mutant equivalent. Tav is Gambit, Astarion is now Nightcrawler, Shadowheart is Rogue, and amusingly, Halsin has been turned into a dwarf to play the role of Wolverine. Lae'zel is Psylocke, Gale is Beast, and Wyll is Cyclops. There's no doubt that a lot of thought has gone into this playthrough, and it would be interesting to see it in action.
Baldur's Gate 3 X-Men Party
It's immediately apparent that plenty of Baldur's Gate 3 mods have been used to bring this party to life. All of the characters have undergone a drastic visual overhaul, with itsyabui1999 confirming in the thread that they "have a few appearance and class mods installed to get the closest feel possible." This is a great use of mods, as it's unlikely the player could come close to creating what they have here without them. They didn't confirm all the exact mods that were used, but did mention that they're planning to add Storm to the lineup once they recruit Jaheira. It would be interesting to see if they're using a mod that increases the party limit, as this X-Men team would undoubtedly tear through Baldur's Gate 3 extremely fast.
With the release of Patch 7 for Baldur's Gate 3, many believed that Larian's time with the game had ended. While largely, the studio has moved on, there are still plenty of features coming in future Baldur's Gate 3 updates, with things like photo mode and crossplay still to come. Although it's sad that the studio won't be involved in the next mainline title in the series, it's good to see Baldur's Gate 3 still having strong post-launch support over a year after its launch.
