Reddit user GreenRiverGhost shared their rendition of Baldur's Gate 3's Shadowheart in the hit life simulation title inZOI. As seen in the post, this version of Shadowheart is quite realistic, which is one of the main appeals of inZOI's gameplay. The player revealed that they had just finished a Baldur's Gate 3 run, so they felt inspired to make Shadowheart their first Zoi. They gave the character her signature dark hair in a ponytail and a blouse that mimics the outfit she wears in the game. Another Baldur's Gate 3 fan complimented their work, commenting on how familiar the model looked.

Baldur's Gate 3 Fan Recreates Shadowheart in inZOI

This is not the first time players have used a life sim to pay homage to Shadowheart. Several Sims 4 versions of Baldur's Gate 3 characters have been shared with the community in the past. However, a major difference between The Sims 4 and inZOI is that the former specializes in cartoonish avatars rather than realistic ones. For this reason, inZOI has quickly been deemed as its biggest rival in the life sim genre. InZOI's early access launched on March 28, and players have since been showing off their creative Zois with the community.

Although inZOI is one of the most anticipated titles of 2025, there has been controversy surrounding its use of generative AI when players interact with other Zois around the city. The game uses AI to generate realistic dialogue in real-time for a more immersive experience. The use of generative AI in video game development has sparked a debate in the industry. Baldur's Gate 3 Karlach's Actor shared their disapproval of AI in video games and criticized how studios just want to cut back on investing money. A sequel for Baldur's Gate 3 might be years away, but the game continues to attract new players almost two years after its launch.
