Finding The Githyanki Crèche

Player group enters the Githyanki Creche in Baldur's Gate 3

To begin with, players should first reach the Githyanki Crèche, which is located in the northwestern region of Wilderness, on the Act 1 map. It’s recommended to reach the Githyanki Crèche along with Lae’zel, as failing to do so causes the Githyanki companion to leave the party, unless she’s already dead.

Players trying to find the Crèche should travel northwest of Emerald Grove and reach the Mountain Pass, where a group of Githyanki warriors confront the player. Depending on how players converse with the Githyanki warriors, they may either walk away peacefully, or end up in a difficult battle. Either way, players should now have access to the road leading to the Githyanki Crèche. Once players gain access to the Githyanki Crèche, they must head to a room southeast of the Crèche and find a vendor named A’jak’nir Jeera. Since the Unseen Menace isn’t an epic or legendary weapon, players tend to overlook it the first time. Additionally, the pike’s rare “Invisible” skill isn’t widely available on other weapons, which may also cause players to underestimate the armament.

Unseen Menace Stats

The “Invisible” perk on the Unseen Menace makes it too good of a weapon to skip. When equipped, the weapon becomes invisible in the wielder’s hands, and grants them advantage on attack rolls as long as they don’t miss an attack.

If the wielder misses an attack, the invisible effect of the weapon is removed for two turns. Besides the weapon’s unique property, the Unseen Menace scores a critical attack when rolling a 19. The following table outlines the lesser, but equally important aspects of the weapon, knowing which could improve the weapon’s effectiveness in battle:

Property: Extra Reach	The weapon has a wider attack curve and lands an opportunity attack from further away.
Property: Dippable	Allows the weapon to dip into specific surfaces to enhance its attack.
Property: Two-Handed	The weapon can only be equipped in two hands, unless the character is proficient in single-handing the weapon.
Weapon Action: Rush Attack	Attack the enemy with the weapon while charging towards them. Has a chance to apply Off Balance debuff.
Weapon Action: Piercing Strike	Stabs the enemy and has the potential to apply Gaping Wounds debuff.
Weapon Action: Brace	Rolls melee damage twice and uses the highest number at the cost of sacrificing 20ft of movement.
