Since Baldur's Gate 3 is always receiving new content, such as each class in the game getting an entirely new subclass and various new evil endings to achieve, there are plenty of reasons to play BG3 again or even for the first time to experience this RPG to the fullest. Even if these classes aren't the strongest in the game compared to some others, these are the classes that are most fun to play, ranked.

8 Druid

Being Able To Transform Is Entertaining

Starting off with a great class, the Druid is not only a versatile option for players but also an incredibly entertaining one. What makes the Druid so fun for players is the ability to transform their character into an assortment of both animals and elementals.

This can be useful both in and out of combat, but is also just great for how many options Larian Studios gives players as a Druid to allow each battle to feel unique if players decide to use a different one each time. There is also just something hilarious about exploring a hideout or the city of Baldur's Gate as a cat since nobody seems to mind the player's presence.

7 Barbarian

Some Of The Funniest Dialogue Options

The Barbarian class may seem quite straightforward since this option doesn't contain any spells and, therefore, may be dismissed by some players for being just a basic melee class. However, the Barbarian has plenty of potential to give players a fun time while exploring Baldur's Gate 3. Subclasses like Wild Magic add an element of randomness to battles in Baldur's Gate to keep players on their toes.

Besides the subclasses for the Barbarian, choosing this option also has many hilarious moments outside of battle when talking to various NPCs. This reckless class can say some rather odd things to people, from letting out a rawr to stop a child from hearing the song of a harpy to making fun of a bugbear and ogre having some alone time, only to name a few.

6 Wizard

Plenty Of Ways To Experiment

Magic is arguably one of the most entertaining things in Baldur's Gate 3, especially for those who enjoy experimenting with different spells to see what sort of damage they can do. The Wizard is a perfect class for anyone looking for some fun due to the variety of magic that is available to them.

Baldur's Gate 3: Companions With The Best Stories, Ranked

Discover which companions have the best narrative arcs in Baldur's Gate 3, based by depth, character growth, and impact on the RPG's story.

Not only can players select from a wide range of spells as they level up and unlock stronger ones, but Wizards can also learn spells from scrolls to make the list of magic even larger. With options like Fireball available to players, every battle can be incredibly exciting.

5 Warlock

Eldritch Blast Is All A Warlock Needs For Fun

Another spellcasting class that is heaps of fun for players in Baldur's Gate 3 is the Warlock. With the support of the player's patron, there are plenty of enjoyable spells within this class that make it so entertaining, but one of the best spells, which is all the reason for playing this darker class, is Eldritch Blast.

On its own, Eldritch Blast is already a deadly cantrip to bring into battle, but by leveling up the Warlock class, players can add features to this cantrip to make it even stronger. One great option for players to select is the feature that allows Eldritch Blast to push enemies. This can then be exploited to throw enemies to their deaths.

4 Monk

Dish Out Damage With Only Punches And Kicks

Monk is another fun option in Baldur's Gate 3 due to players being able to deal a substantial amount of damage without even having a weapon equipped. Being able to punch and kick to victory makes the Monk an interesting option, as well as being way better than its Dungeons and Dragons counterpart.

With the addition of the Way of the Drunken Master subclass that was added in Patch 8, players are in for even more of a treat with the Monk subclass, as the player's character will rely on alcohol to not only replenish their Ki Points, but also make their opponents drunk to make them susceptible to the player's attacks. This, combined with some of the weaponry that can be found around Baldur's Gate 3, makes for a lot of potential.

3 Bard

Chat Up A Storm In Baldur's Gate 3

Any player that has enjoyed Dungeons and Dragons will know that playing as a Bard leaves the player with plenty of potential, both in and out of combat, in Baldur's Gate 3. With spells like Vicious Mockery being hilarious to use due to the player's character or companion hurling some of the most ridiculous insults at an enemy and dealing damage, this is only one of many ways the Bard is fun to play.

Baldur's Gate 3: Ways To Improve Wisdom

Players who want to make the most of their Wisdom stat in Baldur's Gate 3 can do so in several ways.

Like the Barbarian, Bards have plenty of ways to make conversations go their own way, especially due to Charisma being one of the strongest attributes. This can lead to some funny moments in dialogue that may not have been available when playing as a different class due to not having high enough skill.

2 Paladin

Nothing Can Beat Divine Smiting Enemies

Although entertainment can be found without being incredibly overpowered, this is still one of the most fun ways to enjoy classes like Paladin in Baldur's Gate 3. Many players have taken a liking to the Paladin class due to the amount of damage that can be done to various foes while in combat.

However, Paladins is also entertaining for those who enjoy actually role-playing in their RPG titles, as Paladins must be careful about the choices they make in dialogue in the hopes of not breaking their oath. Becoming an oath breaker may still be some players’ choice, which unlocks all sorts of new ways of playing BG3, as players now fight for themselves.

1 Sorcerer

Wild Magic Supplies A Surprise Every Battle

Unsurprisingly, out of all the classes available in Baldur's Gate 3, by far one of the most fun to play has to be the Sorcerer. As seen previously, the magic classes in Baldur's Gate 3 are some of the best for those who are not only looking forward to being powerful but also enjoy the chaos that can be caused by slinging spells.

While each and every sorcerer class has its own entertainment value, which would make it a great option for the player to choose, those who are looking for the most fun should be sure to pick the Wild Magic Sorcerer. By selecting this subclass, players should be prepared for some of the most random effects to occur each time they cast a spell. This can add an element of chaos to battles, as well as something new for those who have already completed BG3 countless times.
