To sell a card in Balatro, players have to select it and select the "sell" option that will appear next to it. Players can sell cards at any point in a game of Balatro. However, if the player chooses the "use" option when selecting a consumable card, they won't be able to sell it from this point on; if they change their mind about using it, the only thing they can do is skip it, which will destroy it.

In Balatro, cards are sold for half of their original value (rounded down). This is true for every card except the Egg Joker, whose sell value increases by $3 for each round it plays while it's kept in the player's inventory.
