A creative Pokemon fan has recently shared their original concept design that reimagines what Gen 1 Lapras would look like if it had a baby form. Part of the first Pokemon generation, fans of the Water/Ice-type are probably curious about how its overall aesthetics would translate into a baby version of the Pokemon.

There are only around 20 Pokemon across the entire Pokedex that have their own baby forms. The lowest evolution forms of these Pokemon, they are typically only obtainable through breeding. Given that there are already more than 1,000 Pokemon in the franchise's universe, it is not surprising for the more creative Pokemon fans to visualize baby versions of their favorite pocket creatures. Several have already made their own baby Pokemon concept designs, and it seems this version of Lapras is just another addition to the continuously growing collection of community fan art.

On Reddit, user Hyperagua shared their concept art of the baby version of the Water and Ice-type Pokemon Lapras. Calling it their "pre-evolution" concept, the Redditor placed their artwork right beside the normal form of a Lapras. Fans will notice that the baby Pokemon is considerably smaller, has a lighter blue shade over its entire body, and a brighter yellow color on its chest and stomach areas. The artist also seemed to take the Lapras's shell size into consideration, showcasing the idea that the baby version will grow out of its shell when it evolves into its normal version. Hyperagua also shared another concept art of what the baby Lapras would look like surfing the waves of the franchise's oceans.

Many commenters on the Reddit thread found the artist's work to be very cute, expressing how they find the baby Lapras to be quite adorable. One even said that they wanted to pat the baby form of the Pokemon on the head. Fellow fans also suggested that Hyperagua also work on a final or mega evolution of Lapras, especially since the pocket creature does not have any other forms in the franchise. The artist replied that they have already put it on the list of their next art project.

Though baby Pokemon may not be as strong or as useful as their adult versions, there is no doubt about the cuteness these pocket creatures bring into any Pokemon player's ever-growing collection. Hopefully the artist will also explore the baby forms of other fan favorites as these would probably draw the interest of fellow Pokemon fans.
