How to Get Treasure Map – Captain Henqua's Spoils in Avowed
Captain Henqua's Spoils is one of Avowed's first treasure maps that you can find through exploration. As soon as you complete the game's prologue at Fort Northreach, you'll make your way to Dawnshore. When you first arrive, you'll meet several characters on the dock at Claviger's Landing. If you turn left and look along the coast, you'll see an old Lighthouse overlooking the area. This is where you want to go.
When you reach the Lighthouse, you'll notice that there are several platforms that form a path around the outside of the structure. Your first goal is to head almost to the very top. If you look to the left side of the front of the Lighthouse building, you'll see a ladder you can use to begin your climb.
On your way up the Lighthouse, make sure to turn into the stairway when you reach the section that is exposed roughly halfway up. Inside, you'll find the Golden Plaque of Promises. You'll be able to use this at the Totem Shrine in the Party Camp once you have found Avowed's first Totem Base.
Right after you pass the section of the Lighthouse with the exposed stairwell, you'll find a platform with a skeleton on it. If you loot the body, you'll find Treasure Map – Captain Henqua's Spoils.
Captain Henqua's Spoils Solution – Avowed
If you look at the Treasure Map, you'll see that the treasure appears to be at the base of a large wall along the edge of a river. It looks like the X is located on a small sandy beach. While it may seem straightforward, the treasure's actual location is a bit trickier than it appears at first glance.
To reach the correct location, you can either follow the river from the sea, all the way north to the Old Pargrun Wall, or you can use the Western Pargrun Wall beacon. On the map, you'll see a spot where two towers of the wall sit on opposite sides of the river. You'll want to head to the base of the western tower, where you'll find the previously mentioned beach.
While the X on the map makes it seem as if the treasure will be on the beach, you'll actually have to dive into the water to find the treasure. After entering the water, turn right immediately. You'll see a small cave that goes back under the beach. Inside the cave, you'll find Wind and Wave, a unique shield, along with a chest containing several useful items.
Collecting the shield and the materials will complete "Treasure Map – Captain Henqua's Spoils."
