While exploring the Emerald Stair region of Avowed, players will reach the Naku Tedek grounds and meet Luminous Alfons. After talking to the distressed priest, he'll explain how a bandit raided the grounds and stole the Reliquary of Saint Waidwen. After further discussing the matter, players will get the general location of the bandit's whereabouts, and it's up to them to retrieve the stolen artifact. How to Find Alfons and Start A Relic from the Ashes Quest in Avowed

Players can find Alfons inside the Naku Tedek Grounds southwest of Fior Mes Iverno in Avowed. You'll need to head inside the main building and talk to Alfons, who'll be crouched down and searching for something. After sparking a conversation with him, A Relic from the Ashes quest will begin, and you'll have the location of the reliquary.

Here's how you'll complete the mission.

Locating the Reliquary of Saint Waidwen

Head over to the reliquary location in the Delemgan Glade by fast traveling to the Rock Arch Beacon, right under Tama's Cabin. After reaching the location, keep heading towards the quest market until you arrive at a rock arch. Some Elder Brown Bears and Sporelings will be guarding the rock arch, so you should defeat them before moving forward.

Once the enemies are taken care of, move forward until you arrive at a pit with some Xaurips, Sporelings, and Delemgans patrolling inside. It's recommended that you drop into the pit and defeat all the enemies before heading inside the cave to retrieve the reliquary. It's going to be a tough fight as there are a lot of enemies, and they're all high-level.

Alternatively, you could use the Shadowing Beyond ability to sneak past all the enemies, retrieve the relic, and head out of the pit without combat.

Once the enemies are taken care of, head into the cave to the side of the pit, and you'll find a Xaurip standing over a corpse. Eliminate the enemy and retrieve the reliquary of Saint Waidwen. You'll also find the journal of the thief next to the body, indicating their intention to steal the artifact. Head back to Alfons with the quest item and explain the intent behind the bandit's stealing to complete A Relic from the Ashes quest in Avowed.
