Because Endgame is set in 2023, fans realized this scene may have predicted real events.

In a recent leak by HypeX, a reliable source claimed Fortnite Chapter 1 will return. “We'll cycle through ch1 seasons for a month with constant map changes and OG weapons/loot pool, until the blackhole, and then we go into Chapter 5,” reads the post. If this is correct, that would mean that Avengers: Endgame was accurate about Fortnite being popular 6 years after the battle royal mode was launched.
However, if the leak is correct, Avengers: Endgame would have also predicted Fornite's Chapter 1 maps returning. Fortnite may have even planned this well in advance because the former Creative Director of Fortnite, who recently retired at the end of last month, was even on the set of Avengers: Endgame as a part of the collaboration. Time will tell, but the possibility hasn't gone unnoticed.
It would be awesome if this leak were real, as Fortnite players have wanted a return to earlier seasons for a long time. The tie-in to Avengers: Endgame and the real-life timeline match is just the icing on the cake. However, fans should not set their hopes too high.
