A brand-new strategy game based on Avatar: The Last Airbender is now available on mobile devices. Avatar: The Last Airbender is one of the most beloved animated shows of the early-to-mid 2000s, and the franchise has plenty of exciting sequels and other projects on the horizon. A new follow-up series titled Avatar: Seven Havens is set to debut next year, as well as a new animated film that will continue the story of Aang and his friends years after their original adventure. More seasons of the live-action Avatar: The Last Airbender show are also in development at Netflix.

In addition to all these new television and movie projects, there have been multiple Avatar games released and announced over the past few years. 2023 saw the release of two such titles: Avatar: The Last Airbender - Quest for Balance, a retelling of the original series that was met with a cold reception due to lackluster gameplay and presentation, and Avatar Generations, a mobile roleplaying game that was ultimately shut down less than a year after its launch. Saber Interactive is also currently working on a triple-A Avatar RPG in collaboration with Avatar Studios.

Meanwhile, a new Avatar: The Last Airbender mobile game is now available to download for free on Google Play and the Apple App Store. Avatar Legends: Realms Collide is a strategy title by publisher Tilting Point and developer AN Games, set in the sprawling Avatar universe and featuring a new story penned by Tim Hedrick, a writer for both Avatar: The Last Airbender and its sequel series The Legend of Korra. This story includes Father Glowworm, a major character from the 2019 novel The Rise of Kyoshi, as well as dangerous new enemies like Chanyu, Borte, and Murong.

Avatar Legends: Realms Collide is Available Now

To combat these powerful foes, players will need to recruit some of the most iconic heroes and villains of the Avatar: The Last Airbender franchise, such as the famed Avatars Aang and Korra alongside Zuko, Sokka, Azula, Bumi, and more. Players will then be tasked with protecting one of Avatar’s four elemental tribes by building cities and setting up defenses in classic grid-based strategy style, as well as upgrading their characters to unlock new attacks and abilities.

Lastly, players can team up with other Avatar: The Last Airbender fans around the world to defeat the forces of evil in Avatar Legends: Realms Collide, which has launched in full aside from some select countries in Asia that will receive the game at a later date. In honor of the global release, new players can get an exclusive bundle of in-game rewards that will give them a head start in building their forces and protecting the world of Avatar Legends: Realms Collide.
