Like many previous open-world Ubisoft games, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is filled to the brim with collectibles. Completionists who want to experience everything the world of Pandora has to offer will seek to collect the Windswept Kites. These orange-colored collectibles were discarded by Fa'zak, the Kitemaker, who now regrets her decision and wishes to reclaim them. The kites are integral to the "Wind Will Carry Us" quest, which is assigned to the player after they talk to Fa'zak in the Maker's Tent.
She's located in The Circle (home of the Zeswa Clan), which is situated in the Upper Plains. To access this area, players must first complete a series of main quests.
Windswept Kite Locations in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora
To be precise, all the kites are situated in the Upper Plains, near Mother of Rivers and Shattered Bridge. Each kite is placed in elevated locations, meaning the use of Ikran is a necessity. Refer to the table below to find out the map and in-game locations of all nine windswept kites.
Spite Kite
The Spite Kite is situated on top of the tallest mossy pillar in the western part of the First Zakru region, to the left of the lake.
Transforming Kite
Once you get the Spite Kite, go right until you reach the rocky area in the middle of the lake. The Transforming Kite is at the bottom part between two higher rock formations.
Storm Kite
Once you grab the Transforming Kite, go east for a bit and pick up the Storm Kite situated on top of the smaller rock formation.
Spirit of the Clan Kite
Go east again from the Storm Kite spot. The Spirit of the Clan Kite is on top of another pillar, slightly below the Weeping Gorge map marker.
Flower Kite
Once you have the Spirit of the Clan Kite, go east until you spot a big tree bent to the left. The Flower Kite sits on one of its branches.
Warning Kite
The Warning Kite is on the edge of a broken rock arch located southeast of the Flower Kite's location.
Fog Guiding Kite
The Fog Guiding Kite is directly below the Warning Kite, perched on top of yet another mossy pillar.
Fight Kite
After grabbing the Fog Guiding Kite, head to the east again until you reach a pillar on the land where the river splits. Find the Fight Kite atop this pillar.
Kite of Water
After obtaining the Fight Kite, continue heading east until you encounter two broken rock arches. Look for the Kite of Water at the edge of the arch on your right.
Collecting all the kites doesn't conclude the quest -- there's one more task to complete. Players must return to the Circle and engage in another conversation with Fa'zak. Follow her to the designated location, where the player must then raise a kite. Once accomplished, interact with Fa'zak again to bring the quest to a close. The completion of the quest also grants players the Tethered Kites Trophy as a reward.
