About Zackari Greif
Zackari is a writer for The Best War Games who can be found in the United States. While he loves breaking down industry trends, he's also a fan just like everyone else, especially of Sonic the Hedgehog. Calling himself GR's resident "Sonic Specialist," he can also be found playing RPGs and spending time with many of Nintendo's famous IPs. What once began with Zack trying to press buttons on a Sega Genesis controller as a baby has now become a life-long journey to go on as many gaming adventures as he possibly can.
Favorite Games
Sonic Frontiers captivates Zack from all angles, from the story to the freedom of its open-zone gameplay, and currently sits as his favorite Sonic game. Final Fantasy 14 is an RPG he sinks plenty of time into, enjoying the adventure it brings as DPS (NIN) or Tank (PLD) on rare occasions. However, his favorite RPG is Tales of Zestiria, his first Tales of game that hits all the right notes an RPG should hit in his eyes that never fails to capture him with its charm whenever he replays it from the beginning for the umpteenth time.
Favorite Console
Zackari has always been on Nintendo's side of the console market since the Game Boy, but the Nintendo Switch is currently his famous console. He admires its nature as a hybrid console, and enjoys its thesis of touting good gameplay experiences over the cosmetic nature of graphics. Though, he does admit that the latter has held the console back in its last few years. This answer has nothing to do with the new Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door remake helping the Switch take the number one spot away from the GameCube. It's a complete coincidence.
Proudest Gaming Achievement
Zackari is very proud that he managed to make it through Sonic Frontiers' "The Final Horizon" DLC on version 1.40 before it was patched to adjust its infamous difficulty. So proud, in fact, that he made a custom shirt that says "I survived Sonic Frontiers' third DLC update before it was patched."
