About Tim Lord

Tim is an Australian Senior Editor based in Germany who has been passionate about video games since he first picked up a PlayStation 1 controller to play Crash Bandicoot as a kid. He started out with GR as a list and guides writer, before moving onto another publication to upskill as an Editor and Content Strategist. He has come back to the TheBestWarGames team to specialize in community engagement via our Threads initiative, while still contributing to the creation of game guides.

Favorite Games

I've always had a soft spot for action-adventure style RPGs, with the likes of the Batman: Arkham Trilogy and God of War series ranking among my favorites. With that said, I've also been enjoying MMOs such as Smite, which offer a bit of variety from the usual story-telling titles I gravitate towards.

Favorite TV Shows

I am in a constant cycle of rewatching sitcom favorites Brooklyn 99 and The Office, but I also enjoy some of the heavier story-telling series like The Boys, Game of Thrones, and Breaking Bad. That is, of course, when I'm not watching my beloved NY Knicks in the NBA or the weekly installments of WWE.

Favorite Movies

While I'll never say no to watching Lord of the Rings again, becoming a father has renewed my appreciation for some of the more light hearted films out there. Any given weekend, there will be classic animation films like Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs or Toy Story on TV in our home.
