About Patrick Kirk
Patrick has been a gamer most of his life, first really diving into the hobby with Pokemon Blue and Pokemon SIlver on the GameBoy. While Nintendo holds a special place in his heart, Patrick now spends most of his time split between PlayStation and Switch. Patrick fell in love with writing early in his education, and went on to graduate from Appalachain State University with a Bachelor's in Journalism. It was only natural to combine the two hobbies into one by signing on to The Best War Games. When Patrick isn't writing, he can typically be found playing Pokemon, Civilization 6, or Baldur's Gate 3 as of late.
Favorite Games
It's always difficult to isolate one favorite game among the many fantastic options, but a few of Patrick's favorites are The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, Pokemon Emerald, and Stardew Valley. Some more recent additions to the list include Baldur's Gate 3, Vampire Survivors, and Dredge.
Favorite Console
The PlayStation 5 is Patrick's favorite console. With all the fun novelties that the Dualsense can achieve, alongside the PS5's technical achievements, it's hard not to put it above the other consoles in Patrick's library.
Proudest Gaming Achievement
While it may not be the most difficult achievement to accomplish, Patrick is very proud of keeping an up-to-date "Living Pokedex" of all Pokemon up to the current generation. It look some time to get all the Pokemon legitimately, and Patrick takes pride in updating the Living Pokedex with every new generation of Pokemon.
