About Matti Robinson
Matti Robinson is a veteran of the industry originally from Finland, with nearly 20 years of writing and editing experience. His love for gaming started with the Commodore 64 and grew with each iteration of Quake. He loves competitive shooters, RPGs, and survival games almost as much as watching others play them better.
Favorite Games
Diablo Series, Counter-Strike 2, Quake Series, Baldur's Gate 3, Apex Legends, Doom Eternal. Anything that offers either heart-pounding action, great character play and customization, or the ability to play with friends in a competitive environment. However, perhaps the current favorite is DayZ, because of the single fact that it delivers on the brutality of survival games better than any other.
Favorite Console
The entire series of PlayStation consoles, with PlayStation 3 being at the top. While I am primarily a PC gamer, PlayStation has always been close to my heart due to excellent first-party titles. Whether it is the immaculate platforming in the original Crash Bandicoot or co-op shooting with Resistance: Fall of Man, PlayStation just delivers
Proudest Gaming Achievement
Taking a round off of the world's greatest competitive Quake player of all time, Rapha, in Quake Champions beta. The latest game in the iconic Quake series was launched to early access in 2017, and I was able to play among the first. I matched up with the Quake GOAT Rapha, who handily beat me, but only after I managed to take a round off of him.
