About Matt Anderson

Matt Anderson (He/Him) is a Features Writer from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He's been gaming as far back as four years old on the original PlayStation and writing in the industry for several years. Over the years, he's written for outlets such as The Best War Games, DualShockers, Comic Book Resources, SVG, and Twinfinite.

Favorite Games

Matt's favorite franchise has always been Super Smash Bros., though he also enjoys a wide variety of other franchises such as Super Mario Bros., Ratchet & Clank, DOOM, Sly Cooper, Kingdom Hearts and Metroid, to name a few. Matt's all-time favorite game, though, is Super Mario Odyssey.

Proudest Gaming Achievement

Matt's proudest gaming achievement was when he finally cleared his video game backlog in 2023. The backlog is the dreaded bane of many gamers' existence, and Matt's took eight long years to get through. He is very proud to have pushed through it and definitely feels like the long effort was worth it.

Favorite Console

Matt owns a wide variety of systems and generally tries to enjoy each of their unique aspects. His favorite consoles are the PlayStation 2 and GameCube, though the Nintendo Switch has a very good shot of pulling ahead.
