About Lucy Owens
Lucy Owens is a Texas-based screenwriter and filmmaker whose work has been recognized at prestigious festivals like Slamdance and the Austin Film Festival. She is a co-founder of the independent production company Lemon St. Pictures, which she runs with her score composer husband.
While Lucy’s poetry and editorial photography have also appeared in online and print publications, movies are her true passion. She dedicates much of her time to both writing films and writing about them. Lucy loves a campy vampire flick like Daughters of Darkness or Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992), and she is a devoted fan of the Dune franchise, from the recent Villeneuve adaptations to Lynch’s cult classic.
