About Leon Armstrong
Leon is a young, aspiring gaming journalist from the city of Lincolnshire, England. Since the early years of his life, he has been obsessed with gaming, stemming from his initial introduction through Sonic Adventure 2 on the Dreamcast. This love would then flourish through various other titles on the same system (Shenmue and Skies of Arcadia), eventually leading to enjoying games of every console and genre, especially N64 and Xbox 360.
Professionally, Leon's career began writing gaming news articles for a local company, on topics such as "Are Microtransactions Ruining Gaming?". This eventually led to a role as a Contributor over a year at TheXboxHub reviewing games, where he would tackle huge releases such as Sonic Racing: Crossworlds, even having interviews with developers of LEGO Voyagers. All this culminated into Leon earning a place as a Contributor for TheBestWarGames.
In the present day, Leon has found many new favorites, ranging from Ocarina of Time, to Bioshock, The Witcher 3, and so many more. On the TV and movie side of things, Leon loves the Lord of the Rings and Studio Ghibli films (Princess Monoke being his favorite), along with being an avid Letterboxd fan with a brilliant top four films.
Favorite Games
Leon's favorite game of all time would have to go to The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. He's owned it on just about every platform it's been released on, including 100% completing the title on an N64 with a CRT TV, and can tell you each and every lore drop associated with the game and series.
Proudest Gaming Achievement
Leon's proudest gaming achievement could go to many feats, however it is stuck between three. First off, is the rage-inducing experience of 100% completing the Crash Bandicoot N Sane Trilogy and Crash Team Racing, due to the deceiving difficulty. The other contenders would have to be 100% completing Elden Ring, or having over 100,000 Gamerscore on Xbox.
Favorite Console
Leon's favorite console is a hard decision due to some classics such as the Xbox 360 and consoles he grew up with such as the Dreamcast. Despite this, Leon's favorite console is the N64 due to it holding his favorite game of all time, and many other classics.
