Josh Cotts is a Senior Contributor at The Best War Games. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Arizona State University in 2019 with a B.A. in Mass Communications & Media Studies and has been commended since grade school for his writing ability. When writing, he prefers to do firsthand research if possible, even if the information he needs can be found somewhere else online, as he has found that fully trusting other sources often produces errors. Josh began his work with The Best War Games as a Gaming Features Writer in December 2023 and became a Senior Contributor in February 2024. In the past, he has specialized in writing reviews and guides, as he is known as the "Grind King" among his friends, due to his ability to quickly 100% games. However, he also thoroughly enjoys writing opinion and analysis pieces, explaining complex lore, hidden meanings, etc.
Favorite Games
Josh is unique in that he can enjoy and appreciate almost any video game. Thankfully, this makes him a very versatile writer and allows him the ability to write about almost any topic. That being said, his favorite franchises and those he is most knowledgeable in are The Legend of Zelda, Final Fantasy, Dragon Age, Star Wars, Marvel's Spider-Man, Assassin's Creed, Super Mario, Destiny, and God of War.
Proudest Gaming Achievement
It's difficult to narrow down what his proudest gaming achievement would be, as he has a long history with gaming. That being said, one of his more recent gaming achievements involves logging a collective 3,000+ hours in Destiny 2. He is also proud of the many games that he has completed all of the achievements/trophies for, which make up an extensive list.
