About Harry Ted Sprinks
Harry Ted Sprinks is a writer from the UK who grew up on old-school real-time strategy games such as Stronghold and Red Alert, and PS2 games such as TimeSplitters and Ratchet & Clank. Harry enjoys a wide variety of genres, though his favorites tend to be strategy games and rogue-likes, such as Slay The Spire, or narrative-focused experiences like Kentucky Route Zero. While Harry enjoys the occasional AAA title, his primary passion is indie games, which he loves to champion in his writing.
Industry Focus
I specialize in researching, playing, and writing about indie games of all shapes and sizes. However, I try to focus on games with a unique and/or retro style, as these are the games I’m most passionate about. When not playing games, I try to focus my spare time on developing small games of my own, which I feel gives me a deeper understanding of these smaller indie titles.
Favorite Games
I try to play a wide variety of games, and generally enjoy everything from survival horror and first-person shooters to action-adventure games and traditional rogue-likes. However, some of my childhood favorites include Halo 3 and Ratchet & Clank, which I have a great deal of nostalgia for. More recently, though, I’ve come to love games such as Dark Souls 2, Resident Evil 2, and Blood: Fresh Supply. I have a strong passion for indie games in particular, with games such as Caves Of Qud and Hollow Knight being among my favorite games of all time.
Favorite Console
I grew up on PS2 games such as TimeSplitters, Ratchet & Clank, and Jak & Daxter. However, I quickly fell in love with the games that were released throughout the Xbox 360’s lifespan, and the nostalgia I have for games such as Halo 3 and Fallout 3, as well as the Xbox Live Arcade, make it one of my favorite consoles. With that said, I mostly stick to PC games nowadays, as it’s easier to access smaller indie titles that don’t have ports.
