About Eduardo Ariedo
Eduardo Ariedo is a video game journalist known among friends for leading Bohemians, an Irish football club, to a Champions League title in Football Manager—just mention the game, and his eyes light up! A medieval fantasy enthusiast, he’s often sidetracked in games helping NPCs with the most trivial quests. His writing journey began with Pokemon fan fiction, evolving through roleplay forums and ultimately leading to journalism, where he found a true passion.
Through his work, Eduardo has achieved lifelong dreams, such as reviewing his favorite games and sharing accurate information with readers. Outside of gaming, he’s deeply invested in Wheel of Time and The Last Kingdom, both in book and TV form.
Favorite Games
Answering what my favorite game is can be a difficult question because it really depends on when you ask me. For instance, Harvest Moon: Back to Nature and Final Fantasy 1 are two games that helped nurture my love for video games, but they are just a couple of names I could mention, along with Mount & Blade: Warband, Persona 5, or even Pokémon Platinum. On the other hand, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild holds an even more special place in my heart, as it made me obsessed with getting a Nintendo Switch for months, and when I finally got it, I realized that all the waiting was worth it.
Favorite TV Shows
I don't watch many TV series, so this is an easier question for me than naming my favorite game. Right off the bat, I can tell you that I have many dialogues from various episodes of The Office memorized, as it’s one of the series I've watched repeatedly the most in my life. I was also disappointed with the direction Game of Thrones took in its final episodes. Finally, I'm very happy to have received an excellent adaptation of the Fallout series.
Favorite Console
My heart is divided between a retro console, the PlayStation 2, where I spent much of my childhood and early adolescence playing and discovering many incredible stories. Now, as an adult, my favorite console is the Nintendo Switch, one of my favorite purchases ever. Additionally, I also love the PC as a gaming platform, especially for the convenience it offers in specific genres like real-time strategy games
