About Dan Amoroso
An avid gamer with over 30 years of experience, there aren't many consoles that Dan hasn't owned at some point in his life. He's also part Italian, which means he's almost certainly related to Super Mario. Dan covers a variety of topics for The Best War Games, and prides himself on creating content that is both thought-provoking and easy to digest.
Favorite Games
Dark Souls Trilogy, Banjo Kazooie, Bloodborne, Elden Ring, Final Fantasy 7, Uncharted 4, Tekken 8, The Last of Us Part 2.
Dan primarily values gameplay over story, hence FromSoftware's Souls series aligns with his preferences perfectly.
Favorite Console
For Dan, it's a really tough one between the N64 and PS2. He grew up in the 90's, and N64 titles like Goldeneye and Mario Kart 64 invoke some really nostalgic memories, especially playing multiplayer with his friends! Despite this, he firmly believes that the PS2 had so many classic games which helped to define their generation.
Proudest Gaming Achievement
In his 20's, he ranked within the top 10,000 FIFA players in the whole world. These days, however, he struggles to beat his young sons!
He also beat the legendary Dark Souls duo of Ornstein and Smough on his very first attempt- without the help of Youtube- but he firmly believes this must have been some kind of fluke.
