About Corey Hoffmeyer
Corey has been writing about video games for well over a decade, but his love for them goes all the way back to childhood. From Mario to Goldeneye to Madden, there wasn't really a genre that contained him. Nowadays, that really hasn't changed much either, only now he gets to force strangers to read about his obsessions. Corey pursued screenwriting in college and has a master's degree in the subject.
Favorite Games
Corey is something of a jack-of-all-trades gamer, so he has a tough time choosing a favorite game for any specific length of time. Some of his favorites to routinely revisit lately, however, are Skyrim, The Witcher 3, NCAA Football 14, every FromSoftware game ever made, Stardew Valley, and Helldivers 2.
Industry Focus
Corey's that guy who won't shut up about the video game industry in general. From the latest layoffs to that new indie game everyone is talking about, he tries to absorb as much as he can. While he may drifted more toward RPGs in his later years, he still makes time for pretty much any type of game that looks remotely interesting. And he can write about all of them, with perhaps a little too much enthusiasm.
Proudest Gaming Achievement
Corey once completed a no death run on Dark Souls in a little over an hour-and-a-half. Not exactly a world record, but considering he usually plays games on easy mode, it's a big deal for him.
