About Brett Byll
Syracuse University Graduate who won't stop talking about video games. Firmly believes the greatest game ever made is Ape Escape 3 for the PlayStation 2. Currently, his newest interest is finding a cathode-ray tube TV that he can plug his PlayStation 5 into before they're too overpriced to buy from resellers.
Industry Focus
Games Journalism, Media Production & Criticism. I enjoy the collaborative process of creating games and stories, so I would love to one day become involved in the process of writing for a game, if for no other reason than giving me more scope when critiquing someone else's work. Alternatively, I'm happy writing about pop culture.
Favorite Games
Ape Escape 3 is the best collectathon you could put your hands on- it's underappreciated.
Resident Evil 7 is the best FPS I've played bar-none.
Nier Automata has one of the most unique and stunning stories I've ever enjoyed in a game. The only video game that's made me cry.
Persona 5 Royal is the best version of Persona 5 out there.
Favorite Console
The PlayStation 4 is maybe not the best console I've owned, but probably the one I've gotten the most enjoyment out of to date. If my PS5 wants to give it's predecessor a run for its money, then it needs to get more games that aren't just very-well-optimized PS4 games. I have a hunch I'll enjoy the successor to the Switch the most, though.
