About Brandon Williams
Brandon Williams was a gamer since he was a baby, taking down his own older sister in Tekken 4. Ever since that day, he played through countless games in the PS2 catologue: Crash Bandicoot 2, Pyschonauts, Freedom Fighters, Total Rampage, and more. It is cherished by him to this current day.
During his early middle school days, his gaming would shift to the DS and Wii. He adored the games from both systems, including Mario Hoops 3-on-3, Kingdom Hearts 365/2 Days, and Red Steel 2. Wherever he went, he carried his DS in his shoulder bag to game or doodle in pictochat.
After surviving 4 years in college for his Creative Writing Bachelor's Degree, he currently roams the Nintendo Switch library to experience gaming wherever he pleases. If he's not gaming, he spends his time watching anime or researching his gaming interests. Not only is this dood friendly, but passionate for video games with a half full cup mindset. He's still learning to write, which motivates him to improve.
Favorite Console
A favorite console is a battle between two consoles.
For nostalgia, the PS2 gave endless amounts of fun memories with its variety of games. It was a good introduction to more the serious games like True Crime: New York City to the more expressive games like Ape Escape. There was a ton to explore with its library of memorable IPs.
For modern day, the Nintendo Switch continues balancing its library with serious games (Xenoblade Chronicles) and expressive ones (Super Smash Bros). Its hybrid form also makes gaming much easier to transition from home tv to portal play.
Favorite Games
There's a good amount of games that took a spot within Brandon's heart. In his ideal Top 3, it would begin with:
-Persona 3 FES as his third favorite. It's the first game to fulfill his dream scenario of being a student by day and unsung hero by night. How the characters use their powers was also very cool and motivating when recognizing the game's mature theme.
-Sly Cooper 2 as his second favorite. It satisfied his need to sneak through the darkness as a charismatic, memorable thief. He loved how the gang grew together when working on their big heists to challenge menacing bosses.
-Xenoblade Chronicles 2 as his favorite game of all time for its detailed world, in-depth character interactions, and engaging combat. Coming from the original Xenoblade Chronicles, this entry made everything better and more investing for him to experiment (especially DLC). It was also a huge plus that it released in Nintendo Switch launch year.
Proudest Gaming Achievement
Brandon saved up weeks worth of lunch money to buy Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword, The Last Story, Pandora's Towers, and Xenoblade Chronicles. He wasn't able to eat nutritious lunch and starved for weeks. The games were worth every cent and he lived to type this tale.
