About Ashley Erickson

Ashley is an avid gamer with a passion spanning back to her early years playing on the SNES and Gameboy Color. Between tending to her farm in Harvest Moon GB, and hurling barrels with Donkey Kong, she grew her collection of Pokemon cards. Now, she spends her time exploring new worlds (and trying not to die), and immersing herself into the stories of various RPGs.

Ashley has been covering the video game industry on and off since 2016. Originally starting her career focusing on cosplay, she also streamed on Twitch from 2015-2017. Now, she brings the latest teasers, updates, patch notes, and news for the survival genre. She also contributes as a guide writer and reviewer on GameSkinny.

In her spare time, Ashley enjoys playing in her consistent D&D campaign, snuggling with her dog, and diving into her latest ADHD craft project.

Industry Focus

Originally, my main focus in the industry was on RPGs since I've been playing them since I can remember. I've come to include farm sims and open world survival games in my repertoire. Many survival titles already include some RPG elements, such as quests or leveling, and being able to play with friends is icing on the survival cake.

Favorite Games

I've had a love of RPGs since I was a young child. Some of my favorite games come from the genre, including Final Fantasy 9 and The Legend of Dragoon. Recently, I've enjoyed Darkest Dungeon, and set my feet in the survival genre with Don't Starve,  which is also my comfort game when stressed.

Favorite Anime

There is a variety of anime that I enjoy, both shows and movies, though they typically are Shonen. My favorites from childhood are Dragon Ball Z and Sailor Moon. Current favorites are The Apothecary Diaries, Soul Eater, and Jujutsu Kaisen. I just love a well-designed and animated fight scene, especially if Gojo is in it.
