About Drew Swanson

Drew Swanson is a Features Article Editor from the Pacific Northwest of the United States. He is a lifelong gamer with a passion for a variety of genres. A connoisseur of everything from JRPGs and Soulslikes, to niche indie titles and horror games, he finds joy in favorites such as Persona 5 Royal, Pokemon, Elden Ring, and more. Aside from his professional writing, Drew is also an avid artist and creates fan art for his favorite games on his Twitter and Instagram accounts.

Proudest Gaming Achievement

Drew is a huge Pokemon fan, so completing a living National Dex through Pokemon Gen 9 is a huge achievement for him. He tries to complete the Pokedex in each new generation, but it wasn't until Gen 7 that he started building and maintaining a living National Dex that contains one of every critter in the franchise.

Favorite Games

Pokemon Black and White, Persona 5 Royal, Final Fantasy 7, Yakuza: Like a Dragon, Xenoblade Chronicles, Elden Ring, Animal Crossing, Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, and Metroid Prime are some of his favorites, but it's hard to pick just one. He tends to love JRPGs, and his "holy trinity" of JRPGs are Persona 5 Royal, Final Fantasy 7, and Xenoblade Chronicles.

Favorite Console

The Nintendo GameCube was the console Drew grew up on and he still thinks it has one of the best libraries of games ever. Titles like Super Mario Sunshine, Zelda: Wind Waker, Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, Animal Crossing, and Metroid Prime are some all-time classics and the GameCube doesn't get nearly the love it deserves.
