About Andrea Trama
Andrea is an editor at TheBestWarGames, where she has been writing professionally about video games for nearly five years. She became a gamer for life at 8, thanks to a copy of Pokemon Red and her Game Boy. Her passion for games was combined with work when she came across TheBestWarGames in 2021, so she started her career in video game writing.
Andrea loves games where she's tasked with thinking strategically. She has an obscene amount of hours in Path of Exile (almost 8,000 on Steam), over 2,000 hours in Destiny 2, probably around 10,000 hours in Pokemon games, which she always completes the Pokedex of and tries to fill the shiny Pokedex too, 100% completion in multiple RPGs of various kinds, like Borderlands 2 and 3, Oblivion (and Oblivion Remastered), she plays MMOs religiously (especially World of Warcraft), and she has a vast experience in playing and building decks for Magic: The Gathering, Pokemon TCG Pocket, and Disney Lorcana.
Andrea has extensive professional experience as a translator and ghostwriter. She has a BA in Psychology from 2015, a Master's Degree in Communication & Translation from 2016, and a Master's Degree in Copywriting & Advertising from 2019.
One of Andrea's favorite articles for TheBestWarGames is about Pokemon Violet probably outselling Pokemon Scarlet, which is what happened. One of the articles she's most proud of is about The Last of Us 2's Ellie and the game's perpetual cycle of revenge.
Industry Focus
Andrea's favorite video game series is Pokemon, which is what she has been writing about for five years at TheBestWarGames. She typically writes features and dabs in news every now and then. RPGs and card games are the games Andrea loves the most and the ones she's the most experienced with because she has played them almost her whole life (for at least 27 years now). Fun fact: Andrea learned English as a child thanks to Pokemon cards. LEGO is another big passion for Andrea, who loved toying with the Danish brick as a child, and now collects her favorite sets as an adult. Andrea has over 1,300 hours into World of Warcraft despite starting playing it more competitively in 2025. Lastly, Andrea loves board games, especially those on the deeper end, like Root from Leder Games, and has played them religiously her whole life (probably in the ballpark of 5,000+ hours playing and learning new games).
Favorite Games
Any Pokemon game, although her favorites are Pokemon Black and White, Sword & Shield, and Scarlet and Violet. Destiny 2 is also a favorite for its sci-fi setting and story as well as buildcrafting and gunplay. Andrea is playing a lot of World of Warcraft, even more now ahead of the Midnight expansion, and loves all roles and classes - but mainly Druid (Restoration), Warlock (Affliction), Monk (Brewmaster), and Death Knight (Unholy, Blood). Currently, she enjoys playing board games like Wondrous Creatures, Everdell, and Root, as well as hunt for shinies in Pokemon Legends: Z-A.
Proudest Gaming Achievement
Having completed the base Scarlet and Violet shiny Pokedex. That, or beating Destiny 2's Duality solo flawlessly.
