About Amjad A. Asma
Amjad A. Asma is a Contributor at The Best War Games. He's a massive Harry Potter fan, and has been into gaming, reading, and writing for almost a decade now. After getting a degree in Science, he has decided to put his love of writing and video games together to make a living that is a bit more interesting than a regular 9-5. He’s been in the industry for about 6 years now, working with different companies and clients as a freelancer, ghostwriter, editor, and more. Now, he’s here at The Best War Games to push his limits even further.
When not trying to break his controller over random losses in EA FC 24, he can be found trying to dive into the nostalgia of simpler times with GTA, Overwatch 2, Rocket League, and a myriad of other titles.
A fan of retro gaming, Amjad is always watching creators work their magic on using emulators to bring the old classics to the current tech standards. After all, who doesn’t love to indulge in “remastered” God of War titles? And if a lot of it happens to be set in Japan, that gives him all the more reason to move there one day and go to town on gaming, sushi, and ramen.
Proudest Gaming Achievement
I would say my biggest gaming achievement was doing a Musty Flick in Rocket League. It did happen perfectly just the one time, but managing to pull it off, in a Diamond lobby at that, was my peak. I’ve scored many great goals and have made even better assists, but that was my shining moment. I could also brag about how I am great at parkour races in GTA Online and I’m the best Moira player in OW2, but I would get kicked from my squad.
Favorite Console
My favorite console is definitely the PC, and no, that is not because I’ve yet to get a PS5 of my own. Sure a gaming PC costs a lot more, but it allows you to do more than play almost whatever you want at 4K Ultra. Plus, it allows you to switch instantly from working to gaming, especially on those Fridays when you’d rather be dropping into a ranked lobby than thinking of new deadlines.
Favorite Anime
One Punch Man, no question. I like Demon Slayer and My Hero Academia too, but Saitama’s saga will forever eclipse everything. It has just the right amount, and kind, of humor, action, and visual style that I love. This will probably come as no surprise that I binged the entirety of Mob Psycho 100 as soon as I discovered it existed. Also, I highly, highly recommend The Way of the Househusband if anyone needs to feel cheered up.
