Attack on Titan has cemented itself in anime as one of the most iconic and recognizable series ever. Originally having started its anime journey in 2013, the series reached its end a decade later, in 2023. Since then, content for the series has been sparse, which isn't a surprise at all. Of course, fans did get a new movie after that, titled Attack on Titan: The Last Attack. This movie, however, was just a recompilation and didn’t feature any new content for the fans to enjoy. Despite that, Fans still loved it and they'll also be happy to know that, now, Attack on Titan is making another comeback.

Attack on Titan: The Final Chapter – The Last Attack is coming to Japan, and soon. This movie will drop on January 9 and will be a remastered version of Attack on Titan: The Last Attack movie. Attack on Titan fans are excited, but the movie’s release date in North America and the rest of the world is still unconfirmed.

What The Future Holds For Attack on Titan

A remastered movie is good news for fans of Attack on Titan, but it definitely isn’t the most exciting thing out there. Attack on Titan fans want more new content, but for now, there doesn’t seem to be anything in the world from Hajime Isayama.

Isayama’s works aside, Attack on Titan definitely has potential for a prequel anime, especially as source material already exists, but whether or not that will ever happen is to be seen. Fans of Attack on Titan can only hope that 2026 will bring better news.
