Atomic Heart: Into the Fire Walkthrough

Atomic Heart is filled with many puzzles for players to solve as they explore Facility 3826. Players step into the combat boots of a hardened Soviet soldier codenamed P-3. His glove comes equipped with many useful abilities as he travels through the destroyed laboratories in the facility. The early levels of Atomic Heart take place in the underground Vavilov Complex. To escape the complex players need to acquire four separate canisters and plug them into the Birchtree. One of these Canisters is obtained through the "Into the Fire" quest. Follow this guide to solve the Boiler Room puzzle and get the Heat-Resisant Canister located in the Hot Workshop.

Boiler Room

The Boiler Room contains 3 separate boilers that need to be cooled down. There are a few heavily damaged white jumpsuit-wearing VOV-A6 enemies that need to be dispatched.

Cryo Candles

On one side of the room is a broken boiler filled with glowing blue spheres. Use the glove's telekinesis ability to pick one up.

Send the Candle Into the Pipes

Take the Candle into the maintenance room at the back. Bringing a candle near to the pipe will automatically vacuum it away.

Guide Candles Through Pipes

Head back out of the maintenance room to the other side of the wall to find the candle floating in the pipe. Use the glove telekinesis to guide the candle to a boiler through the pipe system.

Boiler #1

Guide the candle to the right at the 1st intersection.
Guide the candle to the right at the 2nd intersection.

When the candle reaches the boiler it will cool down and lose its orange glow. The music should shift into a foreboding tone indicating more enemies spawning from doors placed around the room. Dispatch them and grab another candle to send into the pipes again.

Boiler #2

Guide the candle to the left at the 1st intersection.
Guide the candle to the left at the 2nd intersection.

Enemies will respawn again so put them down and grab one more candle.

Boiler #3

Guide the candle to the left at the 1st intersection.
Guide the candle down at the 2nd intersection.
Guide the candle away from the wall at the 3rd intersection.

This will cool down all the boilers leaving the hot workshop at a reasonable temperature.

Go to the Hot Workshop

Head up the stairwell on either end of the Boiler Room to get to the Hot Workshop. The objective marker will lead players out into the workshop where the canister rests on an elevated platform.

Climb the Forklift

On the floor of the workshop is a malfunctioning loader bot. It will raise its forks two times in a pattern. Jump on the forks, wait for the second lift, and then jump again to the suspended platform.
