Atomic Heart developer Mundfish posts an update on the game's subReddit, revealing timelines on fixes the studio is currently working on as well as when players can expect to see them released. Following a lengthy development period, the action RPG Atomic Heart finally made its debut and gave players an experience that many have compared to other games in the genre like BioShock. Alongside weapons and elemental abilities, many have also compared it to Bethesda's modern takes on the Wolfenstein series thanks to its alternative historical world design and technological themes.

Following its launch earlier in February, Mundfish has released multiple updates for the game, attempting to correct a number of issues and bugs. Unfortunately, the launch has been hampered by a number of technical issues, including a ray tracing option missing entirely from the PC version of Atomic Heart. While modders have begun making their own adjustments, Mundfish continues to chip away at ongoing issues with Atomic Heart and has provided an update to fans.

In a State of the Game style post on the Atomic Heart subReddit, Mundfish thanked fans for their patience as the studio addresses a number of issues. Four major issues were mentioned alongside an update as to where the studio currently is in fixing them as well as a rough outline as to when an update could be released.

The first issue mentioned was with the Neuromodule bug, which can prevent players from extracting the resource after finishing off an Atomic Heart boss encounter, causing it to float in the air indefinitely. Mundfish apparently has a fix in place, even solving the issue in older saves. The same goes for glitched achievements, many of which have been addressed in an upcoming patch. Game stability has also been a major focus, with improvements being made daily and the white TV screen issue is also close to being fixed.

As always, Mundfish declined to provide an actual ETA as to when a patch could be delivered as things can change during the development period, especially when applying it across multiple platforms. As such, Atomic Heart fans will need to continue to wait for the time being.

Even with numerous issues impacting the experience for so many players, it hasn't stopped some fans from attempting to get through it as fast as possible. In fact, one player in particular has already managed to work through the open world action RPG, beating Atomic Heart in 7 minutes. The any% speedrun also highlights a few glitches that can dramatically lower the overall time as well, though how long this record sticks is anyone's guess.

Atomic Heart is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
