As soon as you begin Atomfall, the scientist in the starting bunker will hint at a location called The Interchange and provide a keycard that will grant you access. This location connects all of the game's major zones together underground via a labyrinthine tunnel network.
Though it was built in secret, the Interchange Entrance locations in Atomfall aren't exactly unknown to the villagers and denizens of the Quarantine Zone.
Atomfall: Deluxe Edition & Preorder Rewards
Atomfall Deluxe Edition and Quarantine Edition offer players special in-game rewards, DLC access, and the ability to play Atomfall early.
To find all four Interchange Entrances, Atomfall players must either pick up Leads that direct you to each location or naturally discover each location while exploring. Use this guide to all Interchange Entrances in Atomfall to find each entrance location and learn what perils await behind each sealed door.
Slatten Dale Interchange Entrance Location
The first Interchange entrance Atomfall players can find is in Slatten Dale. It's located high above the quarry in the east of the zone. If you leave from Wyndham Village into Slatten Dale, head east across the Railyard and climb up the quarry steps until you reach a fenced-in area and a bunker. This bunker is the first entrance to the Interchange you can discover.
The Slatten Dale Interchange entrance is hinted at by Molly the tinker. If you head to the Trader Camp east of the entrance to Wyndham Village and talk to Molly, she will describe rumors of the bunker, offer the key for barter, and give you the Lead that directs you to the Slatten Dale Interchange entrance. You can also find a Metal Detector on a body near Molly.
This Interchange entrance is not too heavily guarded, though there are a lot of Outlaws to avoid in the railyard and quarry areas of Slatten Dale. Be stealthy or bring some grenades to deal with these enemies easily.
Inside this Interchange entrance, Atomfall players will see a large underground area and a half-closed hatch that leads deeper inside. Crawl under this hatch to find the Central Processor.
Wyndham Village Interchange Entrance Location
There is an Interchange entrance location in each of the game's four major zones, including Wyndham Village itself. If you listen to Captain Sims' calls across the village intercom, you may even have an inkling of where this entrance is.
Atomfall: Burning Questions, Answered
Find the answers to the most frequently asked questions Atomfall players have about the game and its requirements.
Captain Sims warns villagers to stay away from the power generators behind the village hall and up the hill. Indeed, the Wyndham Village Interchange entrance is found right behind the substation at the top of the southern hill in the village.
There are many villagers and notes in Wyndham Village that will lead you here to find the Interchange entrance location. Captain Sims will tell you about it if asked, though he will warn you to stay away. You can also find the Wyndham Village Interchance entrance Lead via a Protocol soldier's journal, a note in the baker's house, and notes in other places throughout Wyndham Village.
Because you will be trespassing if you step foot on either the path or inside the walled-off generator area, be sure to sneak up the steps and quickly enter the Interchange to avoid being caught. Once inside, you will see the body of James Clarke, a friend of the baker's husband, Philip, who is suffering from the infection.
Continue through this area to reach the Central Processor of the Interchange once again – and effectively unlock a shortcut between Slatten Dale and Wyndham Village.
Casterfell Woods Interchange Entrance Location
The Casterfell Woods Interchance entrance in Atomfall can be found soon after you enter the zone for the first time from Wyndham Village. After leaving the village, head west and follow the path to find the Interchange Entrance in Casterfell Woods just a few steps away from the Wyndham Village exit.
Though there usually aren't any enemies to fight inside the Interchange entrance, Atomfall players will find lots of infected spores and explosive Infection pods throughout this bunker. Visit Mother Jago and trade for some Strange Tonics to mitigate the Infection here, or find the crafting recipe in the Druid Castle to make them on the fly.
There are a handful of ways to learn about the Casterfell Woods Interchance entrance, such as from an Outlaw's note at a camp to the north of the entrance, from Joyce Tanner (in the bunker near Mother Jago), and a few other hints spread throughout the zone.
Once inside, be careful to avoid the Infection clouds as you make your way through the bunker and find the Central Processor once again. If you have trouble dealing with the Infection in this Interchange entrance location, Atomfall players should talk to Mother Jago to get some of Mother Jago's Tonic, which helps mitigate the spread and damage of Infection.
Once you unlock the door that leads to the Central Processor here, you will be able to travel quickly between Wyndham Village, Casterfell Woods, and Slatten Dale. However, be careful as you backtrack via these shortcuts, as Outlaws, Protocol soldiers, and Druids may show up unexpectedly and block the way out.

Ready your deerstalker hat and magnifying glass, it's time to shine the light on some mysterious and underrated detective games.
Skethermoor Interchange Entrance Location
The Skethermoor Interchange entrance in Atomfall is the most dangerous of the four, and the hardest to find. This is because the Interchange entrance location in Skethermoor is found just inside the borders of the Protocol camp that takes up much of the southwest of Skethermoor.
This is also where you can find the Protocol prison, which houses Dr. Garrow (and contains another entrance to the Interchange that players cannot access).
To find this entrance, you must either befriend Captain Sims to gain his trust and become permitted to enter the Protocol camp, or accept that you will be shot and sprint to the entrance. But inside, there are more Protocol soldiers patrolling the halls, so be prepared for a gauntlet as you dodge, duck, dip, dive, and dodge your way through the hallways that lead back to the Central Processor.
Be careful as you exit this Interchange entrance because if you aren't trusted by Protocol, you will almost immediately become hostile to multiple soldiers, robots, and security guns.
