Make sure you have beaten the final boss in Astro's Playroom before trying to find the four trapped Special Bots.

Ok, you'll first want to open the travel menu and head into Memory Meadows' Gusty Gateway area. Hook a right as soon as you walk forward into the first section of the stage, and you can find a battery by pulling out the cords from the ground. However, before you grab this cell, you should progress a little more and activate the two bridges leading to the first checkpoint. There's a bot near the checkpoint with a bug net and another bot hiding inside a bush.

Now, you need to carry that cell to the spot behind the hiding bush monkey and throw it at a blue-colored cloud in the distance. It's hard to make out, but once you step in the right spot, the aiming reticle should appear, so you should not have issues hitting it (the images above should help you out).

This will reveal the special bot, but you still need to complete another step before the trophy is earned and the monkey is freed.

Keep progressing through the stage until you see a cloud blowing out cloud shapes of a controller/console, and then jump on it, and let it carry you towards a wall with ledges on it.

Jump up the platforms to find a Bot with a camera recording two other bots on a cliff. Use your charged spin move on the tree next to the bot, and a banana will fall out. Now you just need to carry that banana back to the trapped monkey from Ape Escape.

For the final task, the monkey will begin to perform some dance moves (emotes, basically), and you just need to repeat the movements by pressing the diagonal buttons on the directional pad. Players have reported that the movements are randomized but be warned that if you mess up the sequence, you'll need to grab the banana again to repeat the process.

To help you figure out which buttons are for which moves, use these tips:

  • The move where he's kicking his feet with his hands behind his back is the down button.
  • The shimmying disco move with one hand on the hip is the right button.
  • The 'Carlton' dance (look it up if you don't know what this is) is the left button.
  • The up button is the popular Floss dance made popular by Fortnite. It's the one where you move your arms together in front and then behind your body.

Once you do it correctly, the Astro's Playroom trophy is yours!
