Before the launch of Astro Bot, the developers of Astro's Playroom added four new trophies to the game that you can earn by solving some pretty tricky puzzles. One of the trophies is called Grand Tourist and requires players to visit the Cooling Springs location (Bot Beach specifically) and save the Gran Turismo-inspired robot.

Keep reading this guide to learn the steps necessary to free the bot and earn a trophy. You might already have the Platinum trophy for Astro's Playroom, but that low percentage on your PlayStation account might bother you, so we're here to help you.

Make sure you have beaten the final boss in Astro's Playroom before trying to find the four trapped Special Bots.

Where to Find the Special Bot in Cooling Springs in Astro's Playroom

The first thing that you should do is open the map menu and fast travel to the Bot Beach section of Cooling Springs. Upon arriving in the area, you will need to step on four different starfish scattered around the beach; however, it's important that you step on them in the correct order.

The four images below will show the locations of the starfish:

  1. The first one is right underneath the pier.
  2. The second is in the water on the left side of the beach, near some shells.
  3. The third is on the right side of the beach, underneath a palm tree.
  4. And the fourth is on the far-left corner of the beach, tucked in a corner near a group of Bots.

Once you step on the last one, the trapped bot will appear in a cage and be dressed as a racer from Gran Turismo --you'll also see an arrow showing a path on the cage. This is key to the next step of the puzzle.

Now, you want to head to the opposite side of the beach, where there are structures in the sand of the four face buttons of the PlayStation controller. Look inside the little nook behind the shapes to find a blue shell. Smack it to reveal a steering wheel.

Stand in front of the steering wheel and press the Options button to bring up the map screen. Now, you need to move the control stick, hovering over the stages in a particular route.

Starting at Bot Beach, go up to Hotel Hopalot, left to Frigid Floes, down to Springy Spa, down to Gusty Gateway, left to Bumper Broadway, down to Electrocloud, down to Network Speed Run, right to PlayStation Labo, up to Fastlane Fields, right to Turbo Trail, down to Orbital Obstacles, right to Deep Dataspace, up to Caching Caves, up to Renderforest, right to Mt. Motherboard, up to Raytrace Ruins, left to Teraflop Treetops, and then finally, end the path at Bot Beach.

If you do it correctly, the trapped bot will be freed from its cage, earning you the Grand Tourist trophy.
