Ezio of Assassin's Creed fame left a surprise message during AEW's All In London as part of wrestler Will Ospreay's entrance. Many wrestling fans are already familiar with how Will Ospreay's gimmick is highly inspired by the Assassin's Creed franchise. From his entrance attire, up to signature moves like the Hidden Blade, the man with the Aerial Assassin nickname has really taken many liberties in regard to the character he plays.
With the game set for release on November 15, 2024, promotions for it have also increased. Assassin's Creed Shadows' gameplay footage and video walkthroughs have continued to appear on many news outlets and websites. Surprisingly, All Elite Wrestling has also partnered up with Ubisoft to help promote the upcoming entry, and it did so during one of the company's biggest events of the year, AEW All In London.
Assassin's Creed Shadows Showcases New Parkour Animations
Assassin's Creed Shadows shares some fresh gameplay footage that showcases the game's new parkour animations, which look incredibly smooth.
Assassin's Creed's Ezio delivered a message directed at Will Ospreay during the latter's entrance at AEW All In London. The elaborate entrance featured several ninjas performing stunts while wearing Assassin's Creed hoodies with colors inspired by the upcoming Assassin's Creed Shadows. A video package containing Ezio's voiceover, spliced with clips of both Assassin's Creed Shadows and Will Ospreay's highlights, was played after. The Assassin's Creed Shadows snippets featured both Yasuke and Naoe, with the latter even performing the iconic dive from the top of a traditional Japanese structure. After the montage, Will Ospreay came out wearing an Assassin's Creed-inspired red, black, and gold robe alongside two banners which marked Assassin's Creed Shadows' November 15 release date of the upcoming game. The show's commentators acknowledged the partnership and also promoted the game's release. Will Ospreay also posted the entrance clip on his Twitter account, which garnered a lot of feedback from fans. While some already expected Ospreay to make some sort of display or statement highlighting his Assassin's Creed inspiration, many were surprised that Ezio was featured.
Apart from the grand entrance and attire, not much has been said regarding the partnership between Ubisoft and All Elite Wrestling. Whether this was a one-time thing could be anybody's guess. But with many people on the AEW roster being avid gamers, it's possible that more video game collaborations could come in the future. Many fans have been asking for Ospreay to be added to THQ's AEW Fight Forever. However, Ubisoft could take advantage by having a Will Ospreay skin or attire as special content for Assassin's Creed Shadows.
