Ubisoft was rather upfront about Assassin’s Creed Valhalla getting a longer DLC run than its predecessors, with more and more details coming about for the game’s year 2 as it gets close. This year has seen the release of two expansions—Wrath of the Druids and The Siege of Paris—alongside other smaller updates like Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s Tombs of the Fallen.

More is on the way, though, with Ubisoft confirming Assassin’s Creed Valhalla DLC would release early in 2022. It’s rumored to be called Dawn of Ragnarok, and recent details have surfaced—proving it won’t be alone. According to YouTuber Jorraptor, who many know follows the game closely with his videos, recently discussed a pre-order bonus for the next DLC/Season Pass. It sounds, from Jorraptor’s information, that fans can expect a new Season Pass for next year and for more content to come to the game.

Regarding Dawn of Ragnarok and the Season Pass, Jorraptor also shared some leaked information about the upcoming content, which takes place in the realm of Svartalfheim. First, he mentions there may be an arena where Asgardian mythological creatures can be fought again, like The Builder. Players will also be able to snag Odin/Havi’s armor in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, as well as 5 other armor sets in the Dawn of Ragnarok Expansion.

Beyond that, some of the interesting details Jorraptor shares is that there will be new roaming bosses called Sinmara’s Champions. These will operate much like the base game’s Zealots, and interestingly enough, Sinmara is a giant consultant to Surtur, the fire giant who is destined to destroy Asgard. This reasonably leads Jorraptor to think that an Assassin's Creed Valhalla Muspelheim DLC will follow this Svartalfheim DLC. On top of that, the DLC will feature new mythical bosses to face, with these bosses found in the game code, but Jorraptor chose to not spoil that.

Another gameplay mechanic in the rumored Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s Dawn of Ragnarok expansion is Angrboda’s Wolfpack, elite boss-level enemies players have to hunt down in Svartalfheim by rescuing Dwarves. Throughout the DLC, players will be able to unlock new abilities, some of which will operate differently in the “real world” and these mythical realms.

A lot of this comes from the game code and reliable sources, as Jorraptor also mentioned French YouTube j0nathan at one point, who has a strong history of correct Assassin’s Creed rumors. Either way, all of this should still be taken with a healthy grain of salt until Ubisoft comes out and officially announces Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s Year 2 content.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
